      hey, i had been using just a normal mach-3 shaver before this and the differences that I noted is that this gives a much closer shave, also it is much quicker and not as time consuming.

      Other advantages are that it can be used in the shower since it is waterproof, it also comes with the cleaning kit and a trimmer attachment.

      from what I can see, it is almost the same as this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006W2SYI0 and uses the same blades.

      yeah true, however you don't get the additional $100 cashback from Philips, whereas if you get if from Myer it ends up being $99 after cashback

    $449 (cough cough as if) down to $299 with an $100 cashback ($199 theoretical price) + bonus nose hair trimmer - honestly it is the best shaver I have ever owned. I had an original 240v similar looking philips shaver, then went to a braun - the battery started to give me grief so I went back to my 240v tri-head philips and that is an unkempt, noisy, scary behemoth compared to the RQ1275 which is a dream to use. Quiet, close, heads contour to your face nicely, slow rotation speed but but more accuracy and better overall result with less rubbing back and forth.

    ALSO NOTE THAT WHEN YOU REGISTER YOUR PHILIPS SHAVERS SERIAL NUMBER ON THE PHILIPS WEBSITE YOU GET AN EXTRA 12 MONTHS WARRANTY - BRINGING THE WARRANTY TO 3 YEARS TOTAL

    Does it have to be bought from MYER to be eligible for cashback? I just called HN and they were able to do $187 for me. Anyone please confirm that cashback is not dealer specific, much appreciated!

      when i called Philips they told me as long as it was purchased from myer. But you may want to call philips and confirm if HN is also included in their promo.

          Don't wait till Monday. Ring hn and ask if they are a participating retailer. I am sure they are. There is nothing in the t & c's that says this offer is exclusive to Myer. Shops like gg and hn are always participating retailers in these sort of promotions.

          I do not see RQ1195CC on the cashback form also.
          I bought this from Myer after being told that there is $100 cashback (and as displayed in store).
          But when I downloaded the cashback form, the model isn't there.

          Does anyone know if this model has the $100 cashback?

          Hi, yeah it is not on the cashback form but it is included and I have already received the cashback.

          I called Philips to confirm if it was in the promo before buying and they confirmed that it was included in the cashback but only from Myer. they told me to just fill in the form and disregard the models listed on it. It worked!

          I even waited to receive the cashback before posting this deal in order to make sure that it actually worked.

          It's exclusive to Myer's because they accidentally included it on the cashback list.
          I asked this 3 days ago from Philips, wherein they asked me to ask Breville and I got that response from them.
          That's why they will only credit cashback for this model from Myer
          Philips WILL apply the cashback for 1195cc even if it's not on the list.

      purely recommendation
      if you keep the foils clean (lightly brush out th hair) every week
      Mine last 3-4 years on my philips shaver

      in 8 years of having a phillips 2d i've replaced the blades twice and still great shave.

      Shaver 200 + 2x(Blades 90) / 8 Years = $3.95 a month
      or in case swapping every 2 years $5.8 per month

      It all depends whether you exceed that monthly estimate with cost of mach 3 blades.

      PS electric shavers dont necessarily impose the cost of shaving liquids/foam as dry shave is a recommended and cost effective benefit.

      nope. only RQ1195cc has cashback which is exclusive to Myer as they advertised in store and online.

      RQ1250 ticketed price in Myer is $199 unfortunately no cashback for this model.

      So RQ1195CC is currently outstanding offer and it's made in Holland.

        yes ING paywave available in Myer and they are happy with splitting payment for 99.5 + 99.5, both of which make eligible for ING 5% cashback.

    Yeah I just got one, the lady split it into 99.50 transactions. I was very happy for the money. total bargain. She knew the score about the cashback too, Myer's price error but Phillips is honouring it coz its an old model. Some other bloke was like perusing the shavers for ages like asking questions, lol you shave your face with it. I came up asked for the box and then asked her to ring it up, so she was happy to split the payment.

      Yes it comes with the jet cleaner, the beard trimmer and shaver case (fo' when you are out man-whoring) yes everything in that picture. Also has some fluid for the jet cleaner (which probably doesnt do that much aside form super cool servo action raising an lowering your shave into the solution).

      I was a doubter but this is a real bargain.

      Not much of an idea. I can't see how you would lose though because if its delayed past the cashback period you could just cancel or do a store return.

    It appears that the Philips Promotion T & C's do not include the Philips RQ1195CC model. I would look before you leap! If it is as the OP states then Philip should modify the T & C's.

      I spoke with the guy at Myers..he has confirmed that the cash back is available for RQ1195CC..it was error in part of Myers/Philips advertising of the promotion and they are honouring it now..he himself gave me the cashback form and was even filling it for me !!

    Thanks acs75 for the post really liking the unit. I have a thick beard and its the best electric shaver I've used. I've been shaving with Gillette fusion blades. It can't compete with blades like that. Its right up there though and by 11am you can't tell the difference and its heaps quicker and less dangerous when your half asleep in the morning.

    Would still keep my razor for that odd special occasion but this is a great everyday unit.
