To all those who don't like 50hz that's fine, don't buy it and lets not start a debate about it again. It's still a good price for this TV if it suits your needs and budget.

Remember I bought a sony 46 inch LED below 700 from costco early this year. Thought price for these 40 & 42 should be already around 500 mark

I beg to differ. I have both a 32 and 40 inch screen and the difference is huge. 32 is tiny nowadays unless it's for a very small room.
True. But when I bought my 32" (long ago) it was huge. Either it shrunk, or the room must have got bigger.
42" is bigger compared to 32". Fact
