Lol. When I read the title, I thought the free cookie deal only lasts for 1 minute

How long does it take you to eat a cookie ?

      • How long does it take for you to get a cookie?

How long does it take to past English in kindergarten?

      • +3

        You obviously didn't 'pass'.

  • How big is a Subway cookie? Will it take a typical person longer than 1 minute to eat it?

We would like to offer you a FREE COOKIE for taking part in our survey. Please click on the link below to download your voucher today. NB - you will need to take your receipt with you from your previous purchase with your voucher to redeem your cookie.

"NB - you will need to take your receipt with you from your previous purchase with your voucher to redeem your cookie."
    Any luck without a receipt?
Edit: Do they even give out receipts?

    • +6

I've used the voucher on my phone a bunch of times without receipt.

    • Sometimes they give a receipt, sometimes they don't. I have one from Friday that has printed at the bottom "take our 1 minute survey at www.subway.com.au and get a free cookie", but didn't notice it until this seeing this post.

  • certain I've been seen this before - dupe?

i remember someone mentioning you could use the same receipt number more than once or you could just use a random combination of numbers

    • you only need the receipt when you redeem the voucher.

  • There doesn't seem to be anything unique on the voucher such as a barcode or other code.
I guess we can print multiple copies if we go to the store again before the voucher expires.
    (Please don't abuse it.)

When you wave a Red Flag in front of an Angry Bull, do you say 'Please don't charge" ?

cbf doing 1 min survey… please post voucher

    • Sorry I wasn't completely clear about the voucher having no unique elements, it has the address of the store you selected and the email address you put in.

these expire really quickly (pretty much the day after? iirc..)

    • 1 month.

    • mine lasted a month

      • too much information…

  • +1

The requirement of a receipt really ruins the deal (for those that have not bought anything nor kept their receipt).

So at best you can buy a Cookie (get a receipt) then get another free.

    • and then sell the receipt to others ozb members nearby the shop

      • But then it won't be free for the OzBargainer you sold it to

    • +1

No receipt here yet I have a cookie coupon printed. I'm sure my dishonest cookie will taste as good.

      (ie: receipt not actually required)

EDIT: Oh wait, maybe it IS required… Oh well I guess my dishonest cookie won't have any taste at all then.

    • Or just wait outside the store and ask someone else for their receipt.

browser wouldn't let me complete the survey until I enabled cookies

  • If subway claims that thumbnails infinge copyright than I shall claim that surveys infinge my privacy.
Another words we both loose out :(

  • +2

Have been doing this each week for about a month, simple, just fill out the survey, enter your stores details and a free cookie (i.e. dessert!) is yours. Subway cookies are the BEST!

I feel it is my patriotic imperative to point out that this is Australia. In Australia we eat biscuits, not cookies. We drink soft drink, not soda. Do we really need to be yet another little clone of the United States? I'm not trying to be snobbish or pedantic, it just irks me to see our national identity eroded away.

    • +5

So the stores should be called 'Train Station' and not 'Subway' then?

      • +3

Stop it, you're making me hungry for a Train Station biscuit!

        • +2

Stop it, you're making me hungry for a Train Station biscuit!

Incidentally, a train station biscuit vending machine can probably stop your hunger in its tracks. (ahem)

      • Obviously, at least in Melbourne it should be called "City Loop, stopping also stations except Flagstaff".

Do we really need to be yet another little clone of the United States?

      Too late.

Say we drop the cookie. Say we ban the Cookie Monster and Sesame Street. We are still fighting in their wars of manufactured terror. We are still paying carbon taxes to our globalist friends at the UN. We still have 'Mini US' trade agreements. We still emulate the Patriot Act (basic rights erosion act). We still have attack (defence) agreements.

We have been a little clone of the USA for ages. Furthermore, Halloween is far more popular than what it used to be.

from this day forth I will + any comment you make in the future.

No amount of free "cookies" would entice me to eat Subways toxic dross

    • +1

On what basis are you claiming Subway (or 'Train Station') is toxic?

      • In my opinion, 95% of the food we buy is toxic, so I don't find MelbBargainChaser77's claims far-fetched. Most food is not grown properly (supermarkets and most grocers included).

More of a worldwide problem than just isolated, in my opinion. Processed foods just add more junk into the mix.

  • Free birthday sub and drink + free cookie = /me happy. :D

    • I wonder if I can get my free bday sub and free cookie in the same transaction?!

    • +1

The birthday sub is only a half-sub… seems wrong to call it a "free sub" as that makes me think its a foot long. Who eats the six inch subs anyway…

  • I got my cookie today and while I did have my receipt ready, the attendant didn't ask for it. She also didn't seem to need any info on the voucher and didn't check the expiry date. I also showed her on my phone without printing it out.

It might be a case of which worker you get but maybe try your luck? I was at the Huntingdale store near Monash Uni.

  • Went to Carnegie store and was refused a cookie. Gave her my voucher with original receipt but she said she has given one to me before (2 weeks ago). I don't recall seeing a term & condition stating I could not do the survey again for the same store. In fact the Q&A section states that we could do it every 24 hours. I was doing the survery again for a separate purchase experience. They are just being difficult and stingy.
