    not sure about this…

  • +1

you can choose to use cc or paypal..
i joined their free trial and signed up with paypal.. and got the free dvd's sent and movie tickets with no charged

    • I authorise Quickflix to charge the available funding sources in my PayPal account based on PayPal's default preferences for future payments. PayPal will not share my financial information with this merchant.

      hmmm still not sure….

  • Its legit guys, i mean haven't you ever heard of netflix?

I did this when during the last offer signed up with my paypal and worked perfectly fine, didnt charge me a cent. You have to phone them to cancel before the trial ends - thats it.

    • You can cancel online. But as all their email and website said to ring, just to be safe, I rang up the next day after cancelling online.

Best of all my free tickets are not limited to any particular movie.

      • No you cannot cancel online, you must call. Stupid i know.

        • You cannot cancel the trial online. Paying members can cancel online.

on this page http://www.quickflix.com.au/public/help/Category.aspx?Catego… it said they will send us an email before the end of your trial..
i quote " ..Five days before the end of your free trial, we’ll send you an email to let you know it‘s coming to an end. Then, it’s up to you to decide whether or not you would like to keep receiving DVDs. The email gives you full instructions about what you need to do."
so apprently they didnt sent us an email??

    • "ishe" is right, I did this the other month for the "Knowning" tickets and just cancelled last night with the discs in the mail. Its only 3 days before my account goes over to the next month.

I used my paypal and my parents address with no issues.

They are a great bunch…..but I dont stay with them as I dont need discs every month.

I've used them before for the bonus extras with trial and had no problems.
(no I dont work for them!!)

  • I've had much better experiences with Quickflix's customer service than with Bigpond Movies in general. Can't comment on cancellation though since the trial worked and converted me to a paying member :)

  • how do you get the tickets? Do they email them or what?

  • How many movies at a time?

  • +1

ok, just joined :) remind me to cancel in 28 days time LOL!

  • "Be one of the first 50 people to register"
Seem like the chance is very slim!!!

I think I got into a hoax. I signed up to see if I was 1st 50, and it told me to refer 3 friends, and when they sign up, I will get my double pass.

    "Refer now Track progress
Win a VIP screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Simply refer your friends to Quickflix to win!

Plus you’re guaranteed a double pass to X-Men Origins: Wolverine when 3 friends sign up!

Once 3 of your friends have joined Quickflix, we will send you your double pass"

Do you guys get this??? It was a referral link (at the url). I guess I helped him get his free pass???

  • Be sure to change your plan online to the 9.95 plan for the following month you are charged just in case you forget to cancel…which i did. Luckily i changed my plan during the trial to continue at the 9.95 plan otherwise its about $30….

  • sounds dodgy - my experience with these guys two years ago was a nightmare in trying to cancel - not sure that 2 "possible" movie tx, IF I refer 3 friends, WHILST standing on my head is enough to get me to look at them

Plus, you never get the DVD's you want - its always older stuff.

Marketing dodge ball if u ask

  • The last quickflix deal was good.

I got 6 DVDs (all I could find that I wanted) and 2 free tickets to hoyts.

Cancelling wasn't a problem - just called up.

    This current offer seems dodgy!

    • Why does it seem dodgy?

  • I joined yesterday and will comment on experience.

Your right it is hard to find dvds you actually want to see.

Most decent movies and blu rays are classed ' premium ' and you cant get em.

The promotion on the site is the first 50 get the tickets , now if the tickets are already gone thats misleading at best.

Will let you know if any movie tickets arrive.

    • +1

my dvds arrived very quickly…..no sign of passes as yet

      • Me too - only 2 days after I ordered them!

      • Free tickets arrived 05/05/09….15 days after joining , cant complain i guess

  • I just signed up now and wasn't asked to refer friends, so maybe the Wolverine tickets are all gone. Used paypal, have set an alarm on my phone in 29days to tell me to cancel.
I got some decent titles in my queue, not all old stuff:
Oceans 13, Golden Compass, Leatherheads, Scoop, Incred. Hulk, Mortal Kombat-Annihilation, Iron Man, WallE, Get Smart.
Just go to top 100 and they're all available to us.

Ok i've searched some more and it is mostly old stuff, a few gems there, i don't know how i got those ones above cause they're fairly new.

  • all the anime i want r available :P

how does the queue thing work?

    • Once you find the title you want, click on the Add to Queue button. The option to add entire series usually appear above the first entry for that series.

If you go into My Queue mode, you can drag and drop to reorganise the order. I find they were fairly good with sending out TV series. The disc arrives in the correct order of the series.

Choose what's in your queue wisely as you can only have at most 3 disc at any one time and maximum of 10 disc a month.

  • We've just been approved to run the [Quickflix offer on MBC](https://secure.moneybackco.com/merchants/Quickflix/ "Quickflix on MBC") again, giving $15 moneyback when you sign up for the free trial.

Please note: Quickflix will not investigate any enquiries made on missed transactions, thats one of the conditions to us getting it back on MBC.

    Cheers, Steve.

    • Oh, just missed out!

  • Got 3 dvd's today, surprised how fast they came. Nicely packaged. Cool

  • Returned my 3 DVDs, waiting for 3 more. Still no 2 free tickets to Hoyts.

    • As I said before no way we're gonna be the 1st 50 registered!

  • why dont you email them.. to ask when they will send you the free tickets? or did you win or not…
they are quite prompt in replying email - based on my experience

    Cheers

  • They only offer for 14 days now

Start your 14-day FREE trial and receive DVD rentals in the mail.

  • Guys….the ticket just came through. Check your mailbox. I got mine.

  • I GOT MY FREE Wolverine tickets as well today WOOOOOOT!

    that's lik what, free $25+ + 10 dvd's for free lol!

  • I GOT MINE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I already watched it with the $22 for 2 tickets with this bargain:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/12342
Can't believe I'm one of the first 50! I never won anything! So what I'm gonna do with these? Hmm watch again?

  • I got my free double pass to wolverine last week, too!!! Awsome deal, thanks mate.
Too bad i saw Wolverine with my brother a couple of days earlier, LOL.
I thought i had to have my 3 referred friends sign up in order to get the free pass, but not the case, cause none of them did.
Now i guess i'll sell the double pass, for $10-$15.

Have been receiving the dvd's and it's great. I actually looked in to signing up for real, but the pricing was not very good for me. Oh well, nearly Quickflix, freebie marketing can work.
