    no matter how cheap Tiger is, I never book with them. Too risky.

      Agreed, I would never book with them ever again. In fact, the Mrs laughed as soon as I said Tiger has a deal. But it's good to check against the others, especially as Jetstar can price match. (subject to conditions)

      Jetstar isn't any better either. They stranded me with my 2 elder parents in Launceston and the CSR on the phone lied about why they had to cancel the flight.

        On average I've been 1-2hrs late on every Jetstar flight !, Tiger was actually better just not aesthetically appealing…

      Yep never booking again after my last flight had BOTH flight times changed (Thursday(morning):Wednesday(night) original -> Wednesday(6pm):Wednesday(morning)).

      All of that about 6-7 days before I was due to depart…buggered up everything.

        Mrs was emailed the night before to cancel her flight (from Melb to Sydney). That was nice of them considering she was holding a conference first thing the next morning!!! So she had to rebook a flight. Unfortunately for her there were no other options at the time apart from another Tiger flight. Tiger insisted that they can not change the booking, only to re book it!. Oh, and that will be $386 thank you, how would you like to pay for that? NEVER AGAIN!

      in the last 4 Sydney to Melbourne flights I've taken, 3 with Tiger 1 with Jetstar it was only Jetstar that cancelled my flight with less that 12 hours notice causing me to miss an important event.

    I booked a return ticket like this. 12 hours before departure I got sms saying this flight has been cancelled and and they re-scheduled another early morning flight. Or they will refund. Perhaps include the insurance fee as well to be safe. or just a dream ticket. Nice trick to get public's money into their bank and give refund later.

    Tiger are fine. I've travelled with them about 10 times and never had a problem. I don't like price matching. Why not offer a good price to begin with?

    I was so worried when ppl were having issues with their $1 return fares and was really looking at getting insurance (having said that i have been lucky with Tiger). Anyway my $107 return flight from Melb to Perth was a pleasent experience. Landed 10 minutes later which is pretty standard and left 20 minutes early on my return flight.
