      $10 at Umart…not much difference. comparing prices for computer parts, shopping express's offers are so expensive while I would say only Umart and MSY got the best prices in AUS.

        Thing is that Umart has stores in multiple cities around Aus, much easier for warranty to return it to a store.

  Umart is selling the Lenovo, not Lenovo direct - so you'll get what you pay for.

  Question for the Umart rep:
  Do you actually have a physical store in West Ryde I can visit and pick stuff up from, or do you only do online orders?

    Yes they have a physical store, and off-street parking for about 8 cars.

    I'm also glad to see a Sydney Umart as they are one of the few stores that have a wide range actually in stock, and no queue's just tops it off.

      I shop from there all the time. It's also very quiet, which is great unlike MSY Auburn which guarantees you'll be waiting 10~15 minutes before you get served)

        Yes, it is quiet there LOL. I went there twice. From getting there to leaving there, took me only 3 mins to get exactly what I want. I appreciate the customer service there. Really efficient, and the staffs are friendly.

  As a follow-up, I bought one of these, and it arrived the next day - excellent turnaround.

  It's a nice unit!

  I ended up upgrading it to 16GB this morning, trading in the dimms for bigger ones at my local IT store.

  But now I've just got an email from UMART saying that the previously stated 3 year warranty is in fact just one year.

  And I cannot return it without the original RAM.

  I could probably go back and get the RAM back again, but I've already gone through the process of migrating all my work apps over to this laptop, so I'll leave it.

  Just FYI - no 3 year warranty - I'm sure they've removed the offending text from the advert by now…
