  • As with a lot of dealextreme's stuff its quite cheap. But based on my experience with other DX stuff, I wouldnt expect the thing to last too long…

  • And having to ship it back to dealextreme for warranty when it does eventually fail. Sorry but not a "bargain".

  • I'm split on this one.
On one hand, it's a decent price if you are desperate for a netbook for short term use.
On the other, if you want a decent netbook then spend a bit more for something long lasting.

I agree with the previous post, warranty return is a pain when the RTB is overseas.

  • If this model is a Hasee (as a commenter on DX has suggested) I can vouch that they arent to bad.
I bought a Hasee S2P70 laptop (rather than netbook) a bit over a year ago and at the time it was $390 all up (Shipping included in that figure).
That was direct from the Hasee warehouse though.

They basically put together existing parts to make cheap laptops. They are then re-branded for companies wanting their own "line" of products - or alternatively sold as generic cheap units like this one. Advent laptops are re-badged hasee's if anyone has heard of those.

Even if this is another brand machine, as long as it works - then US$318 for a netbook with reasonable spec and delivered is a pretty good deal I think. Especially given the AU-US dollar, and the way its heading further up again!
