  • +1

Further $5 off with Harvey Norman Newsletter coupon makes it $33

    • Mind sharing the coupon? Please… :)

    • I haven't received an email with the $5 coupon code after registered the newsletter.

would you mind share your active code with me as well.

      many thanks.

  • Is the door bell waterproof?

    • +1

      As per live chat

no its not water proof. we only have one that water proof and its around the $150 mark

  • Great price! Thanks theearth. Good that these use rechargeable AAA batteries, as it can be expensive to replace wired cordless phone batteries (I usually solder new batteries onto the original cable to save money, but that's also tedious.)

Does anybody know if this is compatible with other Uniden DECT handsets? I have a bunch my friend gave to me after she coverted to VoIP. I need four base stations, so I could easily order two sets of these for $76 (less $5 with the HN newsletter coupon, thanks easternculture!) but being OzBargain, why buy another set if it'll work with something I already have here? Thanks in advance!

EDIT - another question, can it be set to have a different ring tone for the door bell? The instruction manual doesn't make it very clear. Also, if one person is talking on the phone, do the other handsets still ring? The manual seems to imply that only the person talking on the phone can hear the door bell as a 'call waiting' style signal - that would be completely useless for me.

I try to place order with the HN site, but it seems to have problem with the pop up box for entering promotional code and selecting store to pick up, anyone else got same problem or solution?

I can't even get check-out to work. The top menus keep obscuring everything underneath. Using Firefox. Might have to try (gulp) IE.

Typical Harvey Norman - "Overseas websites and the GST are killing Aussie businesses! Buy from us and save Australia!" But his website is broken so we can't buy anything from his online shop.

The website's "Find In Store" button is also broken! I might just have to go in and see if there's stock in a physical store in the morning.

  • Was hoping officeworks would have but not on there website.

BTW: These support up to 5 devices (1x doorbell, 4x handsets), however you can't buy extra handsets from Uniden. BUT if you buy 2 complete sets (like I did) you can assign the handsets to the other set, giving you 4x handsets, 1x doorbell, and a backup doorbell (in case the other one breaks, is stolen, vandalised etc).

Also Uniden offer a bonus 5 year warranty for portable phones, but this set is excluded from the offer. I asked Uniden specifically. So it's just the basic 12 month warranty.

I'd had mine since the last time they were on sale ($49) and have no complaints. The doorbell uses "C" batteries (some are included in the box, 3 months later they are still going), so keep that in mind also.

    • I also bought 2 sets with the last deal and have all 4 phones linked. Great set up and awesome to have 4 phones ring when some one is at the door.

I've been checking out how all this EMF EMR is really bad for us humans (especially children 0 level should be 0). wifi, mobiles, cordless phones, smartmeter etc..

any just want to throw this out there. Siemens / Gigaset make a range of cordless phones called ECO Plus that has little or no radiation.

My house is full of Uniden phones but after watching some youtube videos (Professor Olle Johansson) online about EMF and researching the tests being done, and the predictions for our future. I'm trying to limit myself best i can from it.

So i will be updating all my cordless phones to all Eco Plus Range. And i think more people should get behind this range because there's no other alternatives out there.

Anyway it's your choice, just though i would share this with everyone

    • You realise that radio signals have been floating in the air for many decades, right? I suppose you also wouldn't live near power lines because they're bad for you - despite the massive amounts of research proving otherwise?

  • Plenty of stock at Capalaba, Qld

  • This model have speed dialing?
