Love cocnut juice but hare opening them.
Saw they have a tool there to use to open it bit doesnt allow us to eat the flesh.
Im not good with cleavers either.
How do you guys open your coconuts?
1) extract juice
2) place in plastic shopping back.
3) tie said bag
4) repeat steps 2 and 3 (double bag)
5) ever so gently lift bag to chest height and throw it down with all your might onto concrete / brick pavers.
Best to avoid toes in step 5
You can also put it in the oven for a short while until cracks begin to show.
To drain the juice, punch in the 'eyes' with a gentle tap from a screwdriver (one should be much easier than the other 2).
Then a good crack with the back of a heavy knife/cleaver will split it open.
