Even peak Christmas holiday fares for SYD - HKG return are only $169x. Still waaaay cheaper than QF or CX (they charge $19xx/$20xx) for that period of time.
Pity that the sale is only until nov 30 - some other airlines peak periods dont start until dec 8
good deal, $720+ return to Singapore. But the bad thing is once you book the flight, you cannot change date.
No KrisFlyer points either. Though would it matter much now that the price has gone down?

Just a note, there is a charge on any CC ($25 per ticket), whether it is Visa/Mastercard or Amex. They didn't put it in total price on checkout, but they put the notice right after you click deal link from your city of choice. I have confirmed this, my CC statement shows $25 higher than checkout price. Still a massive saving though…
Quite a saving, just purchased return airfare to Tokyo from Sydney for $867 (not including CC charge of $25)
