Black & Decker 18V Dustbuster Pivot Hand Vacuum $96 @ Harvey Norman

90

Been meaning to get this for a little while - RRP is $169.95. The Harvey Norman I went to still had it at that so had to get the lady to check the system. She wouldn't give me any more off as she said that the cost $102 or something like that (she pointed to an arbitrary figure in the computer which might very well have been for whatever else…)

Billy Guyatts has is for $106.95 + delivery - http://www.billyguyatts.com.au/black-decker-18v-dustbusterr-…

FYI this has been posted before -

Godfreys currently has it for $169 online.

EDIT: Deal expires August 25th

Shipping kills this particular deal though

why would you buy a 12v for $90 when you can get a much better 18v for $96 which is $6 more for a whole lot of more power.

      • forget abt 12v! even if its $50 more i would go for 18v

  • I have a similar one as the one in the OP, and it is quite good. Probably the best of all handhelds.

    • Surely the Dyson handheld posted earlier today is a better handheld than this (albeit at twice the price).

      • Yeah I was almost going to go for that… except it's nowhere near twice as good even though it's twice the price. I've tried both and the Dyson has more power, but definitely not $104 bucks more heh.

  • I got the 12V from Godfreys when it was on special. It's a nice little unit.

  • Picked this up for about the same price from HN about 5 months ago.
    Worth it.

  • I saw this on the weekend and went to TGG to compare. From my memory, it was $98..didn't end up getting it but you probably can get few bucks off.

dyson vacuums are great. but their handheld is too heavy, weird bulky design and loses charge sooooo quick!

this is the best handheld on the market. the 18v suction us very powerful and its compact and light. we cant live without ours. anybody with kids needs one. i use it to vacuum corners and stairs too which i am too lazy to do on my upright dyson.

i've had mine for 3yrs + redeemed for 21000 points from westpac. they had a special… normally 30000 points.
its still going strong. every household needs one, especially if u have kids. best product ever. we use it all the time fir everything!

  • Should be able to get 10% cash back on this too. Makes it $86.40

    • Just checked the T&Cs; product needs to be worth $250+ to be valid for promo.

      • Appears so, it's funny how when you click on 'view the deals' a heap of items come up that are under $250.

  • I got the 18v one for the missus last xmas…lol she loved it. Craps on our previous B&D pos

    • the 18v is my missus…. forever alone lol

  • We have the same one for 2 years already, still going strong.

It's only used about twice a month and charged once in 6 months though.

I tried vacuuming my car with it but tiny rocks can get stuck on the the plastic cone-shaped filter. Took me quite a while to unclog it.

Here's another one, though i'm not sure if you can import.

I know they're very good at cleaning up ants.

  • About A$81.50 incl. P&H from Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-Cordless-Pivoting-PHV1810…

this is the PHV1810 in contrast to HN's PV1810XE

but they look identical to me

  • Only use it on high. The low setting taps into half the cells. Those cells will be over discharged to often leading to their early demise. My wife killed hers, but zhe has killed every thing except an ele trolux from the 80s.

  • Its a great little vacuum.
I ended up buying the pole attachments from bigw at $5 clearance.
Should be still plenty on shelf at the Merrylands NSW store
