I meant which DJs is it or is it all DJs

  • +2

Ah yup, because they are merging electronics departments with Dick Smith?

    Thanks for the heads up!

i swear im getting all the latest news from ozbargain!

  • It's all stores that have stock left of CD/DVD/Electronic Games.

  • Damn. SA only has three. And the city one is pretty much all gone

  • Wollongong has only had really old games for the last few months.

  • Any bargains ?

It's every OzBargainer for themselves. Don't ask questions, get in the line!

Not if it's just for Justin Bieber CD's

        • The perfect Kris Kringle present for unsuspecting colleagues.

I've already stocked up on One Direction stuff from Coles and Officeworks when they were clearing them out.

For $4.95, or from $4.95. My local DJs has had games "from" $4.95 for months and most of them are $39.95, with a heap at $69.95.

For those considering the Sydney CBD Store - forget it !!! There's about 10 Blu-rays left if that (nothing special). CDs - if you are Pink or Paul Simon Graceland - well there's a stack of them - and a lot of CDs that no one would touch. There's a few Wii Games ………… don't rush there if you are looking for much to buy.

    • +2

Nice one tonyjg Broden, I see what you did there!

      • Who's Broden ? I was in the CBD store yesterday when this was already on - not much left.

        • +3

          Meet Broden

        • I popped into the Sydney CBD store this morning and there were still plenty of Wii and Xbox360 games left. Certainly not much in the way of top shelf titles, but for $4.95 you'll probably find something to amuse yourelf or the kids.

For my assorted nieces and nephews I got Disney Universe, Megamind, Puss in Boots and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen amongst others for the Wii and there were multiple copies of them and many others still available.

"All their accessories are being cleared too." - also $4.95?

Anything is all the same price.

  • Hey diceslider, did you get an email regarding this?

  • I didn't see anything about this yesterday. Will call up this morning to find out.

DVDs and CDs aren't even part of the Dick Smith buyout at some stores.. but it has been "50% off from $4.95" for a while now, so a lot of items have actually been $2.47, particularly cds and psp classic titles.

  • Dammit. I only snapped up One Day last Friday for $10 from there. Now its $5 :(

  • Burke street mall in Melbourne has absolutely no games.

    • I find that very hard to believe. Did you go to the top floor with the tvs and Apple? Did you ask them?

I can confirm they are scanning at $4.95. I scanned a $24.95 game (which should be scanning at $12.47) and it scanned at $4.95.

      Happy hunting =)

      • Serious? I was just there there where no games. They only had DJ Hero bundles for $17ish. Unless my eyes are REALLY bad :(

        • Last time I was there they were in a couple of dump bins on the side, sort of near the corner where games used to be.

        • Was that today? I went in as soon as they opened, and there were 3 or so shelves full of DVD's and CD's. Then closer to the counter there was a flat stand with more DVD's and CD's. On the side where games used to be (im assuming they were there, since i've never shopped in DJ, but there was signage for software), they only had DJ Hero for Xbox and PS3. Further on there were TV's. I might go back again during lunch in case I missed it.

        • They were in dump bins on the side of those shelves full of DVDs and CDs. I don't know, maybe someone cleared them out? Seems weird though.. some of the prices were still pretty awful until today, especially on DS and Wii.

I said hard to believe, but I guess anything is possible? Have either of you asked the employees?

        • Went this morning and there were no games. They were all in the food hall (why don't know). They brought the trolley buckets back up to the TV area in front of the counter. At the time, hardly any blurays, about 50 games (ps3, ps2, wii, xbox360, ds). Plenty of DVDs in the buckets as well on the stands. Didn't bother to see what. Did see a staff member buy I guess what was left of the blurays.

        • Shame on me for actually trying to find them where i thought they should have been =/ I guess it will be all sold out by lunch time then.

Scored big at Wollongong :) Everything $4.95 including the xbox wireless wheel!
    http://tinypic.com/r/33a4dnt/5

Staff didn't know about it and asked me how i knew. Everything scans at $4.95 so ignore the prices!

    • +1

Nice haul. I too am buying the wheel :) have it on hold already.

I think I scored pretty well. Nintendo DSi for $4.95! Had a Kinect there too but let a Family pick that one up.

  • Just picked up a DSi, and a DS Lite for $4.95 each at Woden ACT, and a heap of games and Blu-Rays for $4.95.
Also Blu-Ray boxsets are all scanning at $4.95….massive thanks to OP

  • Well played to the person who cleaned out David Jones Southland by picking up over 100 items.
Found 2 Blu Rays and 2 Xbox 360 games. Left plenty of old sports titles and 2012 Melbourne Storm NRL premiers DVD's for others to buy.

  • Sydney Brookvale still have some Wii, PS3, XBOX games but not much I wanted.

    A few Blu-ray and a lot DVD/CD.

  • mostly movies left at chatswood chase, a few blu rays and old xbox games

  • Warringah Mall in Sydney had a pretty weak selection of games but I did manage to get a Wii Motion Plus and Starfox 64 3DS for $5 each. Quite a lot of DS games (not 3DS) if anyone is keen.

    • I popped into Warringah Mall late yesterday afternoon and still managed to pick up some Wii nunchucks along with a couple of Wii games. So still some stock left there, nothing too exciting but at least the price is right.

  • +2

Just got staff confirmation that some lucky individual nabbed a PS3 for $5 at Woden

    • +1

Wow cannot believe there would have been one there.

      • Broden lives!

Burke Street Mall in Melbourne picked up a bunch of stuff, highlights were Hangover II Bluray and The whole Band Hero bundle (Wireless guitar, microphone, drums, game) for $5 each!

    • I cannot imagine why nobody pick them up during half price until now.

      • Because they're old and faulty.

        (literally most of them break)

        • Yeah but you get full warranty applied to your purchase

        • Yeah so a $4.95 refund once you lug it all back and get piss farted around only to find that it's not repairable and they have no replacement because it's old. Have fun with that warranty :D

        • It's a supplier warranty, not a David Jones warranty!
Why the hell would you go back for a refund?

      • Cos their half price is full blown retail

A couple of wii inflatable karts from Brisbane city plus assorted CDs, blurays and DVDs, thanks for the heads up.

  • Looks like I missed out. Is this one day only, or untill all gone (which would have happened by now for anything good).

DJ Melbourne Bourke Street Mall: random CDs and DVDs left. A couple of Wii, DS, PS3 games left.

Wii fitness first accessories left: quite a few Wii fit silicon covers. One set of dunbell things and Wii fit steps.

Lots of DS accessories. including guitar hero tour kits. And games.

The sales guy said they had 4 DSs at the start of the day and one guy bought them all.

  • Managed to score

Monster hunter 3 for wii which comes with a black classic controller pro
two ministry of sound CD packs (5 discs in total)
    Disney Universe on 360
and Pirates on Stranger Tides on DVD

  • Quite a few dvd's and cd's, games at carindale. I picked up some ps3 games, dvd's and ds game and the last 2 compatible ps3 controllers. Thanks OB.

  • Did anyone go to the Brisbane store - anything left there?

    • -1

Found a few good ones at Queens Plaze, but nothing amazing. Heavenly Sword and AC2 were apparently $100, no wonder they're failing.

  • Anyone checked out Doncaster?

    • +1

All junk at doncaster. Quite a few guitar heros yesterday but now only old games and mostly ds accessories
