Others - on another OzB thread - report their refurbished Nexus 7's are getting -STUCK- during an auto-update [to Android 4.3]:

Keep an eye on this issue [& its resolution] -before- jumping on this deal.

      PS:

Although not [natively] quite Android devices, I'm happy with the BlackBerry PlayBook 64 GB that we got for $199 a while ago.

Also, I think these were recently offered [via OzB] for the same price, possibly plus S+H.

Most if not all of KhanAcademy's tutorial videos fit into 64 GB, as I recall.

(That may not include Art History, but would likely include Reverse Engineering & the set that show how to use part from R'engr'g to build an Arduino-based, toy robot, as well as some or all of the projects & MIT [discovery] videos.

If more space is needed, there's a slot for 64 GB MicroSDcard.

My first & last -refurbished- ASUS product (TF101, from memory)
was disappointing, eg, sharp edges protruding, that need to be
avoided, to avoid custs & tears of skin - presumably, due to
botched repackaging/closing the tablet after "refurbishment"…?

PS Didn't we all buy Nexus 7's -NEW- from DSE for just $149 -
    in-store - a while ago…?

(I bet folks in other lands are getting new, 32 GB WiFI Nexus 7's
for the price asked by this vendor for refurbished.)

    • Refurbished goods are rarely ever a bargain unless its dirt dirt cheap. You're right about the pricing. The shops and manufacturers just laugh at how dumb Australian's are who snap up their defective and repaired or returned stock at prices that they sell new units for overseas.

  • i've never had issues with refurbished goods.
