The problem with cash back on a car is I imagine most dealers are going to factor it into any bargaining you may do, so assuming you can haggle half decently you may not be saving anything anyway. I guess it helps those that don't like to negotiate on prices.
I just got this too, how the hell did they get my email address?
I dunno, ¯(°_o)/¯ the internet?
Test drive for a $50 fuel card?
most likely! ozbargainers tend to get the bargain first, think later!
I really dont get these, why not just make the car $1,000 cheaper?
caus (amongst other things) then they cant spam up OzB with there crap….
Just marketing ….it gives people a sense they are getting a good deal.
I don't know if this is correct but I've always viewed it as aimed at being a tax write-off.
$1000 extra tax write-off = around $300 back in your pocket from the tax man then you get $1000 cash back via redemption. Good for you.
Not to mention there's a chance that some poor saps will forget to do the cash back or just file it away with the rest of the paperwork. Good for Nissan.
It's because of the Dealer / Manufacturer relationship and or contracts. There would be taxation, income statement and balance sheet ramifications for the businesses too.
The $1000 surely takes away some bargaining power.
I bought a Dualis+2 Ti-L with there last offers. All you do is email the dealers via Carsales.com.au and they call you back. All you have to say is another dealership is doing it for so and so price with so and so extras and they will continue to beat it until its not worth it for them no more.
From $43,000 at one dealer with no extras to $37000 with tow bar, carpets throughout and tinted windows in the. Also took $300 off the extended 3 years warranty
they would hate the constant emails via carsales, I asked a dealer when I bought my car via Carsales he said he was slogged something ridiculous like $20 per email that they generated,
Dont know how true that is..
No GT-R, No Deal :(
Sucks! Even the 370Z isn't included. Shame on you Nissan!
Not for Nissan LEAF :(
This offer is valid for the cars ordered and delivered by 31 July!
i bet you that the money gets sucked back by the ming mole.
