Sea World Resort (QLD) Half-Price Privilege Card at $39.50 and Get Reduced Accommodation

20

My turn to give back to the Oz Bargain community.

If you buy this privilege card for $39.50 (usually $79) you get substantially reduced accommodation, rooms start from $129 per night (depending on configuration) and usually for the same rooms they are over $200. Other rooms are available for a small upgrade fee.

I just joined and booked a Resort Queen room for 1 night in early December for 2 adults and 2 kids and it cost a total of $197 (inc. the cost of the privilege card and a $20 upgrade fee). Without this Privilege card, the room alone costs $239. So the discounts on accommodation add up, especially for longer stays and the reduced rate from $129 per night is valid for unlimited stays.

Plus, you get some other benefits with the Privilege Card:

Dining Benefits
- Shoreline Restaurant: Buy 1 Buffet, get 1 half price (Breakfast & Dinner)
- Hatsuhana: Buy 1 main meal, get 1 half priced (Min $30 Spend)
- Lobby Lounge: Buy 1 cofee, cocktail or beer (from XXXX range) and get 1 free (equal or lesser value)

20% Discount
- Sea World Resort Water Sports
- Nickelodeon Kids Club, Excluding retail items
- Village Roadshow Theme Park Tickets, Outback Spectacular tickets and VIP Passes
- Massage and Beauty (Min 1 hour treatment, not vaild with other offers)
- Nickelodeon Goody Bag from the resort reception

Special Offers
- Receive late check out 12 noon (Subject to availability)
- Free bottle of wine on your Birthday
- Seasonal Discounts for Sea World Animal Adventure Programs
- 10% off unlimited limousine transfers. call 5538 9000 & quote SWR Privilege Card
- 10% Discount on Sea World items for resort gift shop (exclusions apply)

There were some other deals on Cudo, etc with some deals, but I missed out on those. Enjoy!

  • Is there an expire date for the card?

    • Sorry, forgot to mention this - yes, one year from date of purchase.

  • Another good deal up there is the wotif secret hotel. I can confirm the secret hotel deal with 5 dots (self-rating) is the Hilton, Surfers Paradise and is around half price. Grabbed myself a bargain with it for January when run down places are charging $200 a night. 2 bedroom for 4 $229 per night

    • No, you cannot 'confirm' that. Secret Hotels are simply whatever hotel Wotif has in their books that are low on bookings for that particular day. The specific hotel could change daily if not hourly. So your experience from January is completely irrelevant,

      • My experience is for January 2014 and booked last night. It is still available.

        • …what don't you understand about it possibly changing everyday? The Mystery Hotel is always available, but it won't be the same hotel everyday.

To make it clearer, two people booking the exact same offer within 15 minutes of each other could end up in completely different hotels. Just because you got the Hilton doesn't mean you can "confirm" anyone else will.

  • Will look into it.
    Thanks op.

  • We are looking to go to the Gold Coast for easter, originally from the UK, we're is the best areas to look?

The secret hotel deal is that always the Hilton?

    Thanks for the info

    • No secret Hotels can change. Wotif and Lastminute do not have bookings for Easter next year. Bookings are up to the middle of January at the moment.
