Rado Sintra Ladies Ceramics Watch (Model R13 334 12 2) $499.95 + Shipping

21

Was $1499.95 according to DealsDirect. Google tells me it was reduced to $999.00, then $799.92, and now $499.95 with half price shipping ($3.97 to Sydney).

I think the product description from DealsDirect is incorrect. According to Watch Finder UK and other web sites, this watch's case and bracelet should be made of platinum-plated ceramic. It is also easy to see that it has no calendar function and it does not have a seconds hand.

  • Best i can find using the model number on the DD site is the official model, complete with a seconds hand!
    Replace 1 number and you can see the same watch on DD for alot less http://www.lovewatch66.net/productinfo.asp?id=2581

    • Those are counterfeit products.

      • Those are counterfeit products.

        Yep sure are! Just like this one on DD without a seconds hand.
        Unless you can find an official version of the same model "without" a seconds hand.
        Would love to see a link to the offical watch that shows no seconds hand..

  • Bummer, its sold out.
    And to think i waited until today for "shipping free friday"

  • +1

    I love under Features;
    "Almost scratch proof".

  • Fail, Movement: Quartz.

    • care to explain?

      • I will;
        The choice between a quartz movement and a mechanical movement watch is very personal. Learning more about these differences will help you understand the function of your watch and appreciate the internal workings of your investment. Weighing these facts can narrow down the field before you purchase and will help you understand the best maintenance for your timepiece, helping you preserve your investment for years to come.
        Quartz watches are made in two styles: Analog and digital. Analog quartz watches use three hands representing the hours, minutes, and seconds to display time. The modern digital quartz watch uses numbers on a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen to present the time. Both analog and digital quartz functions make use of a battery and quartz crystal. The battery causes the thin sheet of quartz crystal to oscillate or vibrate approximately 32,728 times per second. The vibration produces tiny pulses of electricity that are sent to an internal computer chip at the same constant rate. In an analog quartz watch, this drives the electric motor that allows the analog watch to keep the correct time. In a digital quartz watch the computer chip counts the oscillations and displays the time through the LCD screen.
        Enthusiasts prefer the mechanical movement because of the craftsmanship that is required to create a mechanical watch and are prepared to pay a premium price for them as a result. The most expensive watch ever sold was a 1933 Patek Philippe for $11 million in 1999.

        Credit to the 'Watch Galore Blog' for the info above (Im not that clever!, fooled you though didn't I :)).

        Anyway,
        That's just a little bit of info to understand the difference, of course you can go much deeper into it. In particular regarding different type of mechanical movements, like the ETA 2894 or the legendary ETA 7750 or Valjou 7750 etc, which by the way is what my watch has.
        For a mans watch (not sure about womens, I bought my wife a Longines, with Diamonds on ever hour (RRP3K)), I would not spend over 2K on a watch that had less than a Valjou 7750 movement.
        If you do, I believe you are too much a victim of marketing etc (I think we all are victims to different degrees).

  • i highly doubt if Deals Direct is an official reseller for Rado. Hence void of warranty
