Awesome post. Making one now. I accidently purchased 2100 UK points a few months back (was told they would work in an AU account). I didn't know they would work in a Hungary account… score! Thanks heaps. Crysis 3 here I come.

  • +1

Any suggestions for cheap uk points?

  • FYI Lego Batman 2 is the same price ($9.95) in the Australian store. I only looked at this one so other games might be the same.

    • AUS:$9.95/600 MSP
      HUN:$6.60/400 MSP

    • The website links you back to the USA one for some reason…

On my actual xbox console the price is

      AUS:$9.95/600 MSP
      HUN:$6.60/400 MSP

Just use your console to grab the game :)

  • So, crysis 3 downloaded fine. On my xbox 360, I tried to download Rockstar Table Tennis while signed into my Hungarian gamertag and it said, "Not available in your region". Does this mean that crysis 3 isn't region locked but Table Tennis is?

    • +1

Hmmm could be let me try!

I've so far got Crysis, Orange Box, Bulletstorm…

I got problem with xbox service when trying for table tennis…

did you try through the marketplace?

      • Thanks for trying. Here's what happens: I find the game, click purchase, click x to buy with msp, then click buy and then it says the "Not available in your region". It might let me if I go through http://marketplace.xbox.com/hu-HU/ but then I'd be worried that it wouldn't download on my console.

        • +1

Yeah I get the same thing when trying to use my Credit Card, not available in your current location…

          Shame…. I'll update the original post… website won't let me click purchase…

        • Thanks for trying… agreed, shame.

  • So content you buy with the Hungarian account, is available to play with your AU account?

    • +1

Should be. The content I buy in my US account works in my AU account. Can anyone confirm?

    • Similar… this thread is specifically for the Hungarian marketplace, which is even cheaper than the Australian marketplace.

  • does anyone have a Hungarian phone number? I can't find any

  • +2

Forza Horizon is up on the Hungary marketplace for 600 MSP.

    • +2

Yes I have played all my Hungarian downloads with my Australian account!

      Nice find Steve!

      New addition

      Forza Horizon:
      $9.95/600 MSP (Hungarian)
      $19.99/1200 MSP (Australian)

  • So say I have an Australian account, A, and a Hungarian acount, H. Once I buy the games on account H, could I go to the dashboard and play the Hungarian games on account A?

    • Yes, just sign in with you AU account, select the game from My Games and play. Easy as that. It means that you can get all the achievements in your main AU account.

      • Nice, awesome. I have around 3000 (region-free) points on my AU Gamertag account, is there a way to transfer the points to the Hungarian account? Seems like those points would go to waste.

    • Yes

  • +2

This is ridiculous.. Crysis 3 $30 whereas $20 in US, Witcher 2 not even available… This is probably their last big chance to sell these titles to consumers and if it's a sign of what next-gen digital content is going to be like then I'll still be buying physical copies!

    • Agreed. I'm all for the digital era but not when Microsoft pointlessly doubles/triples the price for a DIGITAL (no shipping required) copy of a game in Australia. Even when adjusting the currencies for the US and AUD, there is still a massive difference in price. It's absurd.

    • +1

I agree, reason I made this post, thought it might be a duplicate of steveau's but the price difference is pretty big!!

  • +1

WITCHER 2 $10 on Aus market now, cbf creating Hungarian account, convenient when all games are under one account

    • Thanks sct911. If true, will buy for sure! +1

      • The Witcher 2:
        $4.99/400 MSP (Hungarian)
        $9.99/600 MSP (Australia)

        Half price on hungarian site!

    • +1

All games will be under one account, create hungarain, purchase, download, sign out, sign in as your australian account and play! very simple, Witcher is $5 as well half price!

  • Can someone provide the link to Forza? I assume you don't need a Hungarian Gold account to buy do you?

  • +1

Just got The Witcher 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 with an 800 point card, very happy :)

  • Would it be possible to migrate a secondary account to Hungary and then buy games with it? I have a separate US account with MSP and I don't want to create another account and purchase more MSP.

    • I'm curious too, I have a lot of points on my AU account that I would want to transfer

      • One caveat with transferring is that you can't transfer again for 3 months and any services available to that region only is lost (eg. SBS/ABC/Foxtel). I'm only thinking of transferring because I have another Australian Xbox account.

        • How would you go about doing it though?

        • Not really worth it, just grab some more points for the things you want now… Same as changing your consoles region you can only do that every 3 months i believe!

  • hi i make today an hungarian gamertag. I download forza, and left for dead but when i try to download red alert it tells me that this item is not available at my current location. So can i migrate this account to australia for exable to download this game ?

    • Some games are region locked. Xbox is detecting that you're actually from Australia and is blocking you from being able to buy it. The other two games probably aren't region locked. The only way around it is through a VPN.

No amazing day 4 sales (besides Hitman I guess)…

    HU pricing:

    bioshock infinite: 2680
    Gears judgement: 2400
    MGR: 1800
Tomb Raider: 1480 (might be region locked)
    Hitman absolution: 400

    US pricing:

    Bioshock Infinite: 3200 MSP ($40.00)
Gears of War Judgment: 2400 MSP ($30.00)
    Hitman Absolution: 800 MSP ($10.00)
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: 2400 MSP ($30.00)
    Tomb Raider: 1600 MSP ($20.00)
XCOM: Enemy Unknown: 1600 MSP ($20.00)

    • What makes you think Womb Raider is going to be region locked?

      • I read on a US forum that someone said it was… but sometimes they are PAL compatible region-locked, which would mean that it works in AUS but not in the US.

        • Hmmmm interesting. If I buy it will it tell me straight away or do I need to buy it on my console to know?

        • It should not let you buy it on either (console or online). So, try it out and see if it lets you.

  • I'd love if they did one last day of Far Cry 3, Ass Creed 3 and Borderlands 2 on sale. So pissed that I missed em.

    • +2

I was glad when I bought them at the time. Then I was sort of sad knowing I could've saved more than half that money using a Hungarian account…
      Oh well, no regrets.

      • Even the things I bought like the witcher and mass effect are like half the price! Damn their excellent treatment at the hands of Microsoft.

  • +1

I think a lot of these are yet to be updated for the PAL/HUN marketplace because all the games so far have been cheapest on the hungarian marketplace but today they seem to be more expensive, hold off a few hours see what happens!

    Ending 6th July 2013

    Hitman Absolution (Discounted)
    $4.95/400 MSP (HUN)
    $9.99/600 MSP (USA)
    $9.95/600 MSP (AUS)

    X-Com: Enemy Unknown (Discounted)
    $14.95/880 MSP (HUN)
    $19.99/1200 MSP (USA)
    $29.95/1800 MSP (AUS)

Tomb Raider (Not updated yet still original PAL pricing??)
    $24.45/1480 MSP (HUN)
    $19.99/1200 MSP (USA)
    $29.95/1800 MSP (AUS)

BioShock Infinite (Not updated yet still original PAL pricing??)
    $44.95/2680 MPS (HUN)
    $39.99/3200 MSP (USA)
    $69.95/4240 MSP (AUS)

Gears of War: Judgment (Not updated yet still original PAL pricing??)
    $39.95/2400 MSP (HUN)
    $29.99/1800 MSP (USA)
    $49.95/3040 MSP (AUS)

Metal Gear Rising: Revengence (USA Only Yet To Be Discounted In PAL)
    $29.99/1800 MSP (HUN)
    $29.99/1800 MSP (USA)
    $49.95/3040 MSP (AUS)

    • Just a heads up that $9.95 US is actually 800 MSP, unlike Australia where it equates to 600.

  • +1

yeah you are right sorry usa is 800 MSP… can anyone confirm if these are the prices or they are still to be discounted?

    • +1

Apparently Tomb Raider is on the Czech marketplace for 960 points. Probably not very helpful to anyone, but just thought I'd say :)

      • This is correct
