    Thanks, good prices!

  • +1

Thanks! Picked up Crysis and Bulletstorm cheap. It'll be interesting to see what prices they do on some of the others in that list.

  • +4

Some good deals. I do recommend Bulletstorm as a title that's worth playing for FPS fans. Had a lot of fun with it.

edit: Looks like the Defense Grid deal is available now too. It's free to gold members.

    • +2

Thanks Smigit, I just downloaded Defence Grid Free, Bulletstorm for $4.95 and Dragon Origins for $4.95

  • Might pick up some more MS points soon, any suggestions on websites?

  • Have a stack of points that need spending - would love to pick up the two Far Cry games, Orange Box, and Tomb Raider on the cheap…

  • +1

That's it, I need another job.

  • +2

    http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Product/Defense-Grid/66acd…

Defence Grid FREE for Xbox Live Gold Members.

  • Are Xbox points region free?

Or do you have to buy US ones for a US account?

  • I dont think points are region free, however live subscriptions are ( i think ) everyone should get bulletstorm its a wicked game.

  • +3

Link to pre-sale pricing for comparison:

    http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=67359461&postcoun…

  • Quick question, I have an Australian x360 with a usa account but i can not get PDZ it says wrong region and xbox.com says is this your first purchase please go to your console and download your game.

    • Are you signed in with your USA account on marketplace.xbox.com?

      • Yeah i downloaded the free map pack 2 i have 400 points. It says 'sorry is this your first download, please login on your console to make sure game is compaitable with your system' something along those lines… are games on demand region locked??

Has anyone else grabbed perfect dark zero on a pal xbox yet??

        • I found this: http://kotaku.com/5336183/xbox-360-games-on-demand-region-locked-[update]

I think I read somewhere that certain games are region locked, while others are not. If you can't download the game, contact Xbox Live chat support online. I tried downloading Psychonauts on the US marketplace (not on the AU marketplace), and I managed to pay for it with a VPN, but it wouldn't download. I contacted support, and as a one-off gesture, they refunded my 800 MSP. My issue was that the game would download, but the file would be corrupted. I explained that to them, and they believed me.

        • +1

Yeah i read you need a vpn for the first 1% and then again around 98% not really worth it for just those two games. Thanks for your help champ :)

Hopefully they will be added to the Aus or UK store cheap soon :)

Can confirm the Hungarian ones work fine!

  • +1

Where do you guys get the cheapest Microsoft Points? I've been able to get 1600 points for $12 before. I'm curious to know if there is cheaper.

  • +1

Will you keep this post updated each day (or whenever they change)? +1000 if you do ;)

    • +2

I was planning to, I'm very excited about the other games on the list :)

  • +2

Wow, Borderlands 2 is currently $10, or 600 Microsoft points!

    • Yep - looks like they have released some more :)

    • -1

I know, what a crazy price… I was just making another bargain for this… it deserves its own IMO.

  • +2

Holy crap, I beat Kirt on reporting a gaming bargain! I feel that should count as an Xbox Achievement in its' own right!

    • ROFL!!!

  • maybe a silly question but is there a way to purchase using points? All I see is dollar prices. Have some stockpiled points and I'd rather use them. Wish Divinity 2 was on sale here.

    • On the console, press X to buy with points. On the website, click "Use Microsoft Points"

    • Yeah I want Divinity 2 and Perfect Dark Zero but I think they are region locked :(

      • Hey mate. Looks like Divinity 2 has now been changed to on sale!

      • PDZ is now on Aus!

  • Woot! Been hanging out for Borderlands 2. At $10 you can't go wrong! Might also grab Prey, Dragon Age, Bulletstorm and Far Cry Instincts.

All that should completely fill up my hdd though. Have to get rid of some other things!

  • +1

Almost pulled the trigger on Far Cry Instincts, but just read that Far Cry Classic is on the cards for the Summer of Arcade in about 4 weeks for 560 points.

"a graphically updated, non-stripified version of the original Far Cry PC version"

    http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-15229-Ubisoft-A…

Might have to save my spacebucks for that instead.

    • +1

Ah, thanks for that Kirt. Will hold out for that as well then :)

    • mmm… graphically updated :)

      • Yep…and non-stripified…you can't lose!

  • Ok, picked up BL2 as well. I think I'm gonna need more points at this rate haha.

  • Has anyone here managed to get Max Payne 3 for 160MSP on the Hungarian marketplace?

    • About to try crysis..

Worked fine champ, i think you may have already got it sorted but thought I would post.

Anyone had any luck getting Perfect Dark Zero from the USA shop?

      • Max Payne 3 is NOT 160 MSP!

        …but Crysis is, thanks nick!

      • Just a note - PDZ is now 2.95 on AU aswell.

  • Just a comment - how does Dragon Age hold up these days? I loved the ME series, but not completely sold on DAO

    • I've been wondering the same thing. Reading reviews the combat and graphics are supposed to be pretty ordinary but the story is really good.

    • Same here, loved Mass Effect but haven't played Dragon Age Origins. From what I've heard, DAO is not as great as ME, but still a good game in its own right. Dragon Age 2, on the other hand…

    • As someone who has played it (and finished it). It's a good game, It's a bit more party based than DA2 or ME. If you play on easy though (like I did) you should be able to run through it without ever having to pause the game and use tell people what to do with tatics (make sure you get a healer in your group, theres not many in the game)and you can kill/lose them by chosing certain dialogue options in the story.

    • It's great, if a little sluggish in the combat department. Story is top notch, and lots of replay value.

  • Edit: nevermind

  • +1

It seems that the first 3 DLC's for Borderlands 2 are half price for Gold members.

    • Cheers, didn't even notice that! I tried to get the Psycho Pack but it kept staying at 800 MSP instead of 400. Will keep trying. Shame that Moxxi's Pirate Booty and the Tiny Tina aren't discounted as well.

  • +2

have borderlands 2 on disc but bought it again digital :D, bought 8000 points from http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/108144

    • Damn, nice! I was refreshing their page from morning till late afternoon and they had no stock! They just restocked. Ah wells, ended up paying an extra 2 dollars for the 4000 points from a different site.

  • I bought 4000 points for $49.20 AUD (Paypal's currency converter always raises the price). Still, nothing compared to my previous dealer who stocked 4000 points for $30.

    Anyway, ended up getting:
    Crysis
    Mass Effect
    Borderlands 2
    Max Payne 3
    Far Cry 3

Still have 360 points left. Pretty happy :)

    • I am not going to be the only one to ask this, but who was this dealer?? and why do they no longer stock??

That is probably the cheapest price I have heard of for the amount of points I used to have a guy on eBay who sold for $45 for 4800 points but he no longer sells them :(

      • He was a drop shipper that I found on blackhatworld.com. Be wary though, it's a rough site. Half of the 'suppliers' there are just scammers. But you can, from time to time, stumble across a goldmine that sells goods for dirt cheap price.

As for the middleman (the Xbox supplier), I think he had issues with the person handling his Paypal account. I'm not really sure why he stopped selling. I'll try to get in contact with him again though.

        • ok, never heard of that place, I'll look into it, but keep me posted or inbox if you can, thanks!

  • Nice linkage to all AU games with ascending prices:

Todays deals appear to be posted (May not be all of them)

    Table Tennis - $2.95/160msp
    Lego Batman 2 - $9.95/600msp
    Lego LOTR - $19.95/1200msp
    Hasbro Family Game Night 3 - $9.95/600msp
    Kinect Sports 2 - $9.95/600msp
    Monopoly Streets - $9.95/600msp

    • Thanks for this… just saw this update as well… you saved me a bit of formatting :)

    • Seems like today is for kids/families. Guess it's a good thing though, I don't need to spend any money today. Will be looking forward to tomorrow instead. Maybe it'll be a sports genre tomorrow.

  • +1

Thanks for the update! Lego Batman 2 for me today! Wish LOTR was 600 points too.. why are all the best ones still $20! That's my physical copy bargain price.. so I'll wait until I can get a physical copy thanks!

  • +1

now up on Aussie Xbox Live marketplace: at the proper price

    Perfect Dark Zero: $2.95/160 MSP

  • +2

Because some of the deals only go for a day, some people might be saving and might miss out on something they could of afforded. So I knocked up a spreadsheet and using averages from release dates/prices these are (probably) what the other games are going to cost.

    Forza Horizon - $9.95/600 MSP
    Hitman Absolution - $9.95/600 MSP
    Left 4 Dead 2 - $4.95/320 MSP
The Orange Box - $4.95/320 MSP
    Tomb Raider - $19.95/1200 MSP
    Witcher 2 - $9.95/600 MSP
    X-COM - $9.95/600 MSP
    Gears Judgement - $19.95/1200 MSP
Metal Gear Rising - $19.95/1200 MSP
    Bioshock Infinite - $19.95/1200 MSP
    Crysis 3 - $19.95/1200 MSP

This is based of the US pricing, I could be completely wrong on all of these. Some of them should be $14.99, but every game so far that's been $15 was $20 in Aus.

    • +3

Would be great, but not sure Forza will be $9.95… since its current price is $79.95.

    • So are these future deals? If so, it's looking pretty good.
I haven't been playing games in years so I'm having to buy so many to keep up.
Right now I'm looking at Left 4 Dead 2, Witcher 2 and X-COM. I want to buy the last 4 but that's going to cost around $50 to get..

  • Are there any good sniper games?

  • Just a note to anyone looking for points. prepaidgamecards.com have 4000 points back in stock for $49.95. Not the cheapest you'll ever find, but still competitive.

    http://www.prepaidgamecards.com/product/4000-microsoft-point…

    • I'd have to disagree. This is the RRP for 4000 points. Plus, when converting to AUD with Paypal, it's even worse (~$56). The 20% off Dick Smith Xbox points sale is better value. If you look harder you can find better prices. I just bought a code a few hours ago that was $44.81 AUD

      • The RRP for 3000 msp is $50, but you're right… I didn't realise the Dick Smith sale worked out better.

Feel free to post where you purchased your points from, as a lot of places are sold out at the moment.

      • mind sharing site? pm plz

        • +3

Well, I'll tell you guys, but I'm sort of reluctant (because it's getting sold out everywhere)
Anyway here it is: https://www.rapidxboxlive.com/Xbox-Live-Points/4000-microsof…. It's 30.99 GBP. But once you add to cart, instead of going to checkout, press 'view cart'. In coupon code, type 'RXL1111' to get a 5% discount. This brings the price to $49.20 AUD.
However, you do get reward points. When you're still on the 'view cart' part, you may have some reward points which you can use to reduce the price even further. I had 45 once I had purchased it for the first time. So for the second time, I used the 5% discount again and then used the 45 reward points to drop the price a further 2.5 GBP or so to get the price to $44.81 AUD. You could have just used the reward points when you first purchase it as well, but I'm not sure how much you get becuse I had 45 when I had already purchased from them before.

To get the best conversion rates on Paypal, let your bank do the conversion (there's an option for it on the Paypal site) otherwise these prices will be a few dollars more. Also, delivery was instant both times.

All in all, great site, and I enjoy supporting these smaller businesses.

        • +1

That's great… thanks heaps for sharing!

        • +1

No worries. If anyone doesn't understand the steps, just let me know.

        • Last time I bought points, in September of last year, I paid $37.75 for 4000MSP from an Australian eBay seller. His username was "marksmanreece" and he seems to have disappeared now. the points worked perfectly, but maybe he was up to something dodgy.

AS A SIDE NOTE: Any points you have on your Xbox account will be converted to $$$ when MS phases out their points system later this year. Those $$$ will be available for 1 year after conversion.

    • Might need them! Hungarian Shop is pretty cool,

Resident Evil 4 & CV = 960 MSP they are 1840 MSP on the Australian shop!

I'll keep looking for more deals :) If anyone can help that would be great!

  • +2

Here are the prices of the daily deals on the Hungarian Xbox Live Marketplace:

    Assassin’s Creed 3 – 1,990 FT (~$8.80)
    Borderlands 2 – 990 FT (~$4.40)
    Far Cry 3 – 1,990 FT (~$8.80)
    Max Payne 3 – 990 FT (~$4.40)

    • Damn, those are fantastic prices. Could've saved well over $30 from this.

  • +1

I think we all need to help each other out and check the Hungarian marketplace

Lego Batman 2: (Hungarian) $6.60/400 MSP
Lego Lord of the Rings: (Hun) $9.99/600 MSP
Hasbro Family Game Night 3: (Hun)$6.60/400 MSP
Kinect Sports 2: (Hun) $6.60/400 MSP
    Monopoly Streets: (Hun) $6.60/400 MSP

Lego Lord of the Rings is half price!

Rockstar Table Tennis is 640 points so its more expensive but 95% seem to be cheaper

    • +1 on the terrific price of LotR.

    • Bulletstorm for 160 MSP on there too!

  • +1

    Hungarian Shop is pretty cool,

Resident Evil 4 & CV = 960 MSP they are 1840 MSP on the Australian shop!

I'll keep looking for more deals :) If anyone can help that would be great!

  • +1

It really sucks having to buy these points when you have stuff like this going on: http://www.couriermail.com.au/business/markets/australian-do…

  • Hey I just noticed low on space lol, anyome know what the best option is for a 320GB HDD?

Anyone know where I can get them cheap (Phat Console)

  • +1

Witcher 2 and Forza horizon also on sale

  • Forza horizon for $20.
I have Forza 4 already, not sure how different Horizon is…

    • +1

Different type of racing game than 4, more casual… but a very good game. I loved it.

  • Is the sale glitched? On the Xbox itself, when you go into the sale sections, it has a tile for Hitman: Absolution at $9.99. When you select it however it still displays as $69.95. Hoping it gets fixed as that one I was interested in getting.

    • Hitman should be on sale tomorrow. Microsoft was a little too proactive in putting that tile up.

  • Apparently Dishonored will be on sale next week?

  • +3

With my new Hungarian account picked up:
    Left4Dead2 400
    Forza Horizon 600
    Hitman Absolution 400
    Others available:
    Orange Box 160
    Crysis 1 160
    Witcher 2 400

    • can you please explain how you did this and how you find it beneficial?

My understanding is, you make a Hungarian gamertag account, add points, make the purchases and then they are locked to your console AND new gamertag. So then you just make sure you always use that console and log on to your usual gamertag and you can play the games?
