      sucks like donkey poo

  • Are the sale updated for Australian marketplace? I can't check online because my accounts suspended for a month due to mandatory security checks.

    • Yep

      • Thanks.
Was looking forward to XCOM and Tomb Raider. They are still good deals but not what I was expecting in an Ultimate Game Sale..

        • They are actually both $30 each for us Aussies :(

        • Oh, well they are both 1800 points each which is 3600 points in total. This could easily be attained for around ~$40. I never look at the actual prices since it's much easier to get it cheaper in points.

        • Yeah for sure, although I guess the point is they are going for 1200 spacebucks each in the US.

        • 1600 each in the US. $9.95 is 600 MSP in AUS and 800 in the US.

  • Prices are not up yet on the AUD market?
Only TR is $20 and Hitman $10. Hitman $10 is great prices. Others are not so good :-(

I bought Crysis a few days ago for 320 MPS and realised I didn't really want to play it so I contacted the support team to get a refund. Failed the first time. Tried again, and bingo, got the refund. Funny thing is that they refunded the points yet forgot to remove the license, meaning I can still download the game.
Now I'm sad. Wish I used this excuse for Farcry 3. Could've saved 1800 MSP and kept the game.
Of course, you would still need a valid excuse in the first place to get the refund… Everywhere I read on forums said it was impossible.. :).

    • Good story. They might have been more reluctant with a 1800 point game. I got 800 points refunded for Psychonauts because I managed to pay for it via my US account… though it was region locked. Paid via a VPN, but it wouldn't download without being a corrupt file. They saw how many times I had tried to download the game, probably didn't want me to keep trying, so they refunded me as a 'once off'.

    • You do realise what you're suggesting is theft, right?

        Sigh*
Yes, I'm sure if this happened to you, you would be avidly contacting MS telling them to relinquish the ownership of a game they were supposed to get rid of. Not my fault buddy. I asked them to give me my points back and they did. They said they would remove Crysis from my library but they forgot.
Also, the fact that the license wasn't removed means that MS refunded the point off their system, they didn't take it away from the developer, meaning the developer still received the money I spent. I couldn't care less if MS had to refund points off their own system.
If you were at Woolworths, and the person at the checkout forgot to charge for the bread, are you one of those saints that goes back and pays for it? It's a mistake on their part. Are you also the guy thats sprints back to the cashier and gives them back the extra change they gave?
Technically, you can call it theft, but to me, it's an insignificant mismanagement on MS's behalf that I can't be bothered chasing up.
