I'm all for finding a bargain, but this isn't one - it's a bug, & people are taking advantage of it. Shouldn't be here in my opinion, or positive voted. But abide by your own stance, that's coo =)

    • +4

You signed up 30 minutes ago and you're already telling people what to post or how to vote??

      • -5

        Your statement is misguided:
        - The duration of when I signed up is completely irrelevant
        - Nowhere have I told people what they should or shouldn't be doing

        But thanks for the welcome

Nowhere have I told people what they should or shouldn't be doing

          Short memory?

lol, BAM! and the dirt is gone

Looks bad I know, but to clarify I only questioned their comprehension:

Shouldn't be here in my opinion, or positive voted. But abide by your own stance, that's coo =) aka (meaning) do whatever the . you want =)

          Cheers

It worked for me 23 min ago
Did you use the download link i provided?
They may have picked up on it , lets wait and see if others have the same issue before i expire it

      • it works, thank you very much. i clicked on the download link provided on the info page. When i clicked on the picture on your post it immediately downloaded the correct file. Thx a million

      • Yep, just tried and it worked. Thanks easternculture!
Wondering if they are all the same code - mine ends with 711 (you can check your code by pressing your name on the home screen of the application).

        • 1XX0-9XX8-XX55-X711

          Some number substituted with X's
Is it the same as yours?

        • Can confirm it looks like mine too! Perhaps you've stumbled on some sort of promo?

        • Perhaps , or maybe it was targeted to a certain group of customers

        • This worked for me just a few seconds ago………….same registration number as posted above by easternculture

glary or crap cleaner, all good.

Sorry don't think its cool this is posted here in my opinion. This is not supposed to be free, for some reason only the link provided has the 'bug' in it- kind of borderline illegal p2p file sharing.

    • +11

so that makes me a borderline cyber criminal

      • +4

it's "glaryingly" obvious that this is a good deal

  • It says it is a free edition and does not expire when you install. You simply need to update you name against the license key.

  • +1

    cool program nonetheless thanks

  • Program has some nice features, will give it a go. Thanks for posting.

  • Cheers for that find mate
    working perfectly.

  • Probably a promotion and not a bug as they did this last year when i got it.

  • works for me,good post, keep it up..

Its not a bug, its a promotion.. from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Gla…

Thanks sagec1! that removes the grey surrounding the deal for me :)
OP should add that into the description

    • good find, post edited, credit to you

  • Good one.
    Thank You.

  • Thanks worked fine for me

  • Had already installed Glary Utilities Pro for free from an OB deal, so wondering the difference with Glary Utilities Professional Edition 3.3? Now have both free. Seems mainly to be a different interface.

There is also a Glarysoft giveaway app in the installation or http://giveaway.glarysoft.com/app/ (Video Avatar is a tool for creating animated GIF avatars, userpics and signatures - at the moment.)

  • Can't complain about something free. Good find.

  • Nice one. Thanks, OP.

Have these kind of utilities improved? they used to make no change or negative performance/ stability changes to the OS's

    • I am interested in this as well - has anyone used these utilities and what are your feedback & thoughts?

  • Just downloaded. Thanks.

  • +1

Online search suggests the utility is good but the install process may hijack/redirect browser/search session/settings.

    http://lifehacker.com/it-is-free-but-you-get-this-as-well-ht…

As I have no specific need/interest, I have resisted the temptation to obtain/deploy this software so do not have direct experience. Can anyone else comment/feedback?

  • Make sure you get the gu3setup.exe and not the gupsetup.exe (from the Glary site). Or you will spend ages wondering why you can't see the upgrade now button ;)

  • I've been using an earlier version to control the order and delay after boot of certain slow programs that take forever to load. It works great… Thanks for this op.

  • Downloaded and installed. Great deal mate.

  • How do you get version 3.3? It's only at 2.55

    • did you download from this link

      • That's odd, if you go to their site and select the Pro version from the Products menu it goes to version 2. Anyway that version worked - ta (I had a pro version 2).

        • I pointed out above, the difference seems only the interface - between Glary Utilities Pro 2.55 & Glary Utilities Professional Edition 3.3. Both are usually paid copies.

  • Did anybody else get snap.do installed along with Glary? It has turned up on my PC and I don't think I've loaded anything else since Glary.
    Anyway, it's gone now.

  • When I click UPGRADE, it sends me to a page with a COST.

    Anyone else get this too?

    • make sure you dl the program from here http://download.glarysoft.com/gu3setup.exe

On the mid right hand side of the program, you will see a button "Upgrade Now" -> Click on it and a window will appear pre-filled with your registration key

      • Thanks! I was previously looking in the ABOUT section

  • As far as using this software… Use with care! (Get knowledge. Change 1 thing at a time & check if OK.)

Used the GUP3.3 System Control > Startup Items to speed startup on an old XP PC. (Streams music etc)
Clicking on 'More information' suggested a NVIDIA startup item was safe to disable. (Old software I thought I don't use.)
    BAD MISTAKE!

I have spent the day trying to work out why my monitor no longer displayed XP beyond the startup screen.
Swapped monitors with no luck. Got it to display under Safe Mode, then VGA Mode. (So long since I have done this!!)
Went to GUP3.3 System Status > Undo Changes - no success, & enabled all startup items when this failed.
Finally reinstalled NVIDIA software for my video card & it finally worked.
Net result - many hours wasted, frustration, and no faster startup as all items are left enabled now - just in case!

    • That's what system restore is for, roll back changes (works well in W7 and W8).

I just checked what system restore points I have, and by default this app did not create a system restore point (from when I ran the app 2 days ago).

      • True, but could not get it to restore on XP & had no monitor output. Doing a new image now as backup.
So check restore points are current & working before doing anything.
