Or you could get the Sherwood RD7505 7.1 Channel AV Surround Receiver $274.40 from JB… has 7.1 or 2 zone speaker set up…

I'd take the denon 5.1 any day.

Normally I'd agree, but not at this price point.

Nice statement… your reasons? Denon has crap connections on the back panel compared to Sherwood. Denon has no 7.1, has no 2-zone set up, etc, etc….

the sherwood is a $500+ receiver on massive discount

the denon is a $300 receiver with a $25 discount

i like denon as a brand but the sherwood kills it dead for features

          ?

@aids…… you don't have much to say? State your reasons for choosing this Denon over the Sherwood 7.1, or otherwise don't make such silly statements

  • Where does it made, Japan or China?

I would highly consider skipping this and going for the 1713 at $450 if your budget allows, that seems to be the general consensus on Whirlpool.

My receipt for the 1713 can be found in the last 1513 deal:

  • This price of $278 is still a rip. Last month it was offered for $261 at HN.

You can ask HN to give you that price. I'm sure they'll lower a further $17 to get rid of some old stock. But I wouldn't buy the Denon for even $200. The back looks really crap.
