Minimum total cost is $2400 over 24 months, excluding handset repayments.

Yeah, you'd have to be really keen on signing with Optus to consider 4.16% back as much of a bargain…

    • Ouch, I think most OBs would stick to some MVNO.

    • Agreed, going on the plan just for the rebate is not worth it. Just thought id post in case anyone was already planning on getting an Optus plan

    • That's only on some plans (aka, the $100 plan). If you were to go for a $30 per month plan over 24 months, you'd pay $720 and then get $100 back. Aka ~14%

  • It all comes down to how you look at it. I spend $17.50/month now. So over 2 years I'm already $300 ahead of the $30 plan, minus the $100 rebate I'm only ahead by $200. I also ain't locked into any contract and can change providers at the drop of the hat if I find a plan offering better value. I suppose others fall for these type of scams like the two years interest free scam for instance. Lol

Buy a nexus 4 phone outright and match it with a 17.99 per month TPG plan, a hell of a lot cheaper over time.

    TPG use the optus network.
