D-Link DSL-2870B $119.25 @ DSE

50

Not as good as the DSE deal with cashback offer but great if you can get HN to pricematch.
So this is for all you professionals out there.

I did a pricematch at HN where there is a $50 cashback promo on right now
http://files.dlink.com.au/Marketing/Web%20Promotions/CashBac…
So if I get the cashback it'll be $69.25

Kinda like the AC1750 deal but its a Modem / Router 750+

Side note: I was also able to get JB-Hifi to match it =) so hopefully end up paying $26.75 for the AC1750

Previous Cashback Deals for DSL-2870B.
DSE http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/93456 - $109 after cashback
JB Hifi http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/96419 - $149 after cashback

    • Although price matching is not a deal, I am trying to <cough> covertly <cough> point out price-matching and receiving the $50 cashback

    • lots of deals lately - they wanted to be first this year, and the others are quickly following.

  • Is this a good modem? My adsl2+ died recently and I'm looking for a replacement. Gigabit and wireless N router with Broadcom chipset.

    • Personally I've always preferred to pay more for the wifi/switch/router part and just use whatever ADSL modem I find that bridges…

Makes it easier to keep up with tech, considering ADSL2+ hasn't changed in a while, and possibly won't if NBN keeps pace.

      • if we get 100MB fibre I might actually have to upgrade to gigabit.

  • i got one too today
Bought it online at harvey norman, then called them and they processed a refund with difference

  • Price matched. Thanks OP.

Was using a NetGear 3700, changing this just because want to use IPTV…

Does anyone know how to setup this modem router with TPG IPTV?

  • Got mine yesterday from Martin Place. Guy had to triple check and he thought Dick Smith was some photoshopped screenshot or something.

Put it through for $119 so I saved another $0.25! OzBargain FTW

Just sent off the redemption now, thanks OP!

  • +1

I just price matched mine again from HN online, they failed to process the first price match with dick smith @ $120 they promised me . Called today after checking Dick Smith and the router is down to $79.50

So effectively, the router cost me $30 after cashback

    • It's a steal for this price, did you manage to get it Price Match?

How realistic it is if I go back to the shop can request for getting back the price difference?

      • +1

I called to follow up on the refund of price match
Checked the website while i was on the phone and told the CS guy to check
He saw it as $79.50 and heard a sigh
Then by himself, he said he would call the store and call me back

After 20 min, he called back and told me he processed a refund

  • Yeah the router is $79.50 today instead of $119.25.

  • Received my cheque today.
