    The phone is dust and water resistant (hence the IP57 certification). It's also scratch resistant (to a certain degree) thanks to the Gorilla glass.

    Why would anyone want this? Don't waste your money (even if it's a $1)

      Sounds like the poor sighted advise of someone who doesn't actually have the phone. The glass is Dragontrail galss. It is also factory fitted with a screen protector by Sony. This screen protector is just like any screen protector - it scratches VERY easily. It is soft plastic, not glass. I have the Xperia Z - the front is mint due to the screen protector I applied since day one. There are fine scratches on the back due to dirt being stuck in between the phone and case.

      Regardless, Gorilla glass means nothing, it all scratches in the end. People who believe this are either easily pleased or very lucky to have not had (or seen) the tiny scratches that form.

      For perfectionists who want to be able to replace a cheap $1 protector every couple of months to refresh their phone to that out of the box look, this is a bargain.

    It already comes with screen protectors applied on both sides but the brandings are on the protectors. Nice deal if you want to make sure you don't scratch up the pre-applied ones.
