Not actually that cheap - OW had 4GB for $8 about 2 weeks ago
do they have it now? I even heard a rumor to good guys having an 8gb for $8 bucks a month a go, the point is this is the deal on now get it when you can
Are these megacheap, no brand ones reliable?
The 4GB/$12 one I got from HN a week or two ago was this brand: http://store.lexar.com/?productid=JDFF4GB-431
Its not so much reliability with cheap no brand drives. Most flash chips are very durable for most situations.
Its the transfers speeds which seperate the no-brands to the higher value brands like Corsair. If you are using this to save our work documents, etc its fine. But if you want to use it for regular file transfers, media streaming on a HTPC ,etc then these aren't very good in terms of speed.
Went into the Brisbane City store and they were Toshibas (just like in the advertised picture, except it had Toshiba written on them).
Was in OW Gosford today and they had 4G A Data keys for $12
OMG get over USB Sticks lol
LOL
Don't be a hater!
how is this such a good deal??
I saw 8GB for $30 on Capital Square, China Town, Sydney if you don't mind the trip :)
still valid, bought today.
Better than MSY, great find.
