These adapters would be designed to sit hard up against the bottom of the phone I would assume. Would I be correct in assuming that the phone would have to be removed from any case or bumper in order for the connector to go in far enough?

any photos of what they look like? (ie. close up that arent from apple's stock photos)

i have seen some shocking lightning connectors. some are just a piece of PCB with copper traces.

    the problem with having an exposed PCB board with copper traces is that it will scratch the fell out of the phone, im sure none of us wants to buy something that can potentially damage the phone.
