    Good value for churner

    • +2

It's one I watch for. I miss the other 90 plans.

  • +2

Good deal, handy for sim sluts who don't need much data.

Don't forget to turn off auto recharge.

Obligatory hodl on catch deals to wait for 50% clearance or better! Even though catch connect isnt shutting down lol

    • I only just wondered about that. Good to know.

    • +1

This is 50% off. Catch is not going to put this on clearance because they don't hold stock for SIMs, they ship directly from Catch Connect.

  • What will happen to the sim pack if you don't activate within 30 days?

    • +2

Then you won't get, "Advertised Inclusions".

    • +2

Since they’re not advertising extra data or anything - nothing.
I’ve left mine for about 6 months and had no problem

  • I’m currently with these guys and they do some weird calculations for data - it shows much more use than actual. The counter doesn’t run as much when I was with Telstra, boost or voda. Anyone else experience this?

    • -1

It's actually me - I'm hotspotting of your bandwidth, sorry !!

  • -1

Just remember needs to activated in 30 days

    • -2

Comments in previous posts say 1 year.

  • Will the sim arrive as activated like some provider amaysim in my experience? Thanks

    • +3

No. You’re buying a pack of a retailer (Catch) not the MVNO (Catch Connect). It’s just like going into Coles and buying one. You haven’t given your details or picked ‘new’ or ‘port’.

      • Many thanks

  • +1

    When are they shutting down?

    • I'm keen to know too, I thought we couldn't even buy their SIM's anymore. Cheers

      • +2

“CatchConnect” are not closing down. It’s owned by Optus, not Catch.

        • gotcha, thanks for the info… cheers

    • It will only merge into another Optus associated company.

      • Bring back GOMO!

Honestly, GOMO was perfect for so many people, just needed to be marketed better by Optus.

  • Guess it's too late for me to ask for email from catch

  • The last time I ordered one of these it never showed up.

    • +1

What did they say when you contacted them?

      • Refund, that’s it… but it’s a pain in the arse when you are sim slutting. You are relying on your next sim to show up when you order it.

        • +5

Rookie mistake, real SIM sluts have a dedicated SIM drawer, when you open it on porting day you can take your pick.

            @bonezAU:

real SIM sluts have a dedicated SIM drawer

            ☝️😆

    • Yep. Bought one on 27 Jan. Still dispatching…and today they refunded me instead

  • Which plan everyone use for their kids? I am after cheapest plan which includes free calls and little data.

    • It was the $4/month Flip plan but that got discontinued late jan :(
I'm looking for something similar but this will do for the next 90 days

      • I had Amaysim plan for $60/year but it got discontinued too

        • +1

That still exists but has no data.

          • @rpb: Could you provide a link to that please? I went looking and couldn't see it.

            • +1

@steven107: you have to activate first and then you can change to it. You might be able to active a $2 sim to it. I just see it when I go to "Manage your plan" and click change plan. It's under Long expiry

              • @rpb: Since we're talking about amaysim, did anyone get the 25% off on renewal for their annual plans this time around? I got it last time but nothing this time - I am afraid I'll have to renew at Full Price this time.
I am on Amaysim $119 annual plan, purchased for $99 from Woolies with 2,000 EDR Bonus points making it $89, and renewed 1 year later at "25% off on RRP $119" so, again $89.25 for another year.

Hoping for the same to renew this time too.

                • @djoz: I never got the offer again. I went to Boost for the boy

Can't seem to find info on whether Catch connect is eSim capable. Has anyone tried getting eSim on Catch?

  • I was with catch until 6 months ago then ported my number to a different telco. Will they know I'm not a new customer if I try to get this deal?

    • +2

You currently don't have a service with them so that's basically all it means.

  • -2

Good luck when they cease trading

    • Ah…check their wbsite

Catch Connect Mobile services are not affected by the closure of Catch.com.au. Visit here for more info.

  • Note the 90 days refers to how long it takes the SIM to arrive in the post.

    Not joking.

    • Mine arrived today. Post marked 17/2 so I blame Auspost more than them.
