Doesn't seem like a bargain. I remember buying 2 packs 6 outlet power boards from Bunnings for around $8.
Agreed. I picked up 3x 6 outlet boards for $8 from local Sam's Warehouse a while back.
NOT Surge protected!
I've never seen a powerboard without an overload trip switch, its probably required by law, so why even specify it like its a special feature? This is just a plain powerboard. 6 way powerboards are worth less than $4 from anywhere including bunnings.
i can see one in the first photo
Read the whole sentence.
my apologies, i see your gist now. but that is only a minor gripe
Okay, then read the whole sentence "again" to get the major gripe.
yep overload protection is required by law, nothing special here and definitely not a deal
coz there's a chance some people mis-read it as surge protection and rush to purchase.
You are negging because someone may assume surge protection and overload protection are the same thing?
There's no need to specify a feature in the title that every powerboard has.
Negging because this simply not a bargain as the price+postage is higher than most retail prices.
If any one insists the price+postage could be lower than retail price+postage elsewhere, fine, they might get a postage deal but not on the specific adversed item. So ve- from me.
It's not a bargain by itself BUT when you factor in that this is the shipped price it morphs itself into a bargain. That bad boy would cost a bit to ship don't know how they do it. Nice job.
Good point.. on that basis I will +1. It's still the cheapest 6 outlet board shipped. But know you can do better for pick-up!
I bought 2x6 outlets at bigw last week for $10! And i think the 2x4 outlets are $6.xx.. HPM brand and everyday price
$3.94 at bunnings
http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_powerboard-overl…Yep they are cheap everywhere but how do you get it delivered for $3? If you are housebound, lazy or in a remote location this is a good deal otherwise better off to get it cheaper at the shop.
If they are cheap EVERYWHERE then why you have to get them delivered?
"housebound, lazy or in a remote location"
edit.. Own a V8, or your time is more valuable. thought of some more :PSo basically you're saying everything is a bargain if its delivered because you might own a v8? Great logic.
No i'm not. I'm saying that some people can't get to the shops or it costs them more than $3 to do so. I'm also saying that some people would rather have things delivered than waiting in a shop lineup. Others would rather get something delivered because they are disabled or housebound for some reason. Others would like things delivered because they are lazy or don't have a car and to get to the shop would be an hour round trip…and the list of reasons goes on and on.
At the end of the day this IS a bargain for SOME people. Not you but other people. So try to avoid narrow mindedness and understand that there are people in different situations to yourself. Understand that if this deal were never posted THOSE people might not know about this and would miss out.
And to save you V8 + time, you have to get everything delivered to your door, otherwise if you have to go out to ANYWHERE for ANYTHING, you can get this one cheaper at no extra cost as it's sold cheaper EVERYWHERE.
i don't own a v8. I don't need a powerboard and i wouldn't get it delivered. Riddle me that batman…
I Can't find a 6 outlet powerboard delivered for a better price so to me i'ts a bargin
Next time you're at the shops, buy one for half the price. It will blow your mind.
u know its Ozbargain when we have a full discussion over a $4 item :)
around here its not unusual to have hair pulled and eyes gouged over 5 cents….. were talking about whole dollars here…. wars have been fought over less. :)
you know your a true OzB'er when your passionate enough over a $1 difference that your willing to
wasteinvest hours watching a topic on something you dont even want to buy….
Nice One - even less if you buy more than 1
