    You can get the low end model celeron for almost the same price locally, but expect to pay more than $500 for the same spec listed here.

    The website doesn't show currency conversion so I assume it's in USD, convert it to AUD today and it will be less than the US price.

  I love the idea of a touch screen, but not the extra finger prints and the horrible windows8 OS; its can be replaced of course with windows 7 or linux. Now ive used it for a while i can say how uttley awefull an OS it is, much worse than VISTA or even winME back in the day.

    I'm doing a fresh install atm on the 14" version and Asus does not offer support for Windows 7, but I tried Start8 which is a start button on your Win 8 desktop and that made it much more bearable
