Excellent AV receiver, 7.1, THX certification, lots of extras that you can read up on.
This is the non AirPlay model. JB have the TX-NR616AE for $999, and I managed to negotiate down to $799 for the AE at Domayne, but still, can get a separate airplay device for less than the price difference if needed.
Will the receiver stay at this price in March ?
Will there be something better on the horizon?

If I knew about the 15% I would have purchased. Instead I am holding off until after my house purchase goes through to know for sure how much I can spend on upgrading home theatre.
I thought you said you had purchased the AE model?
Sorry, meant to say was able to get that price, but declined to purchase as still couldn't justify spending an extra amount just for AirPlay.
Actually impressed with the Selby mailing list - everyone respected the owner's request not to leak the 15% deal.
Note that many have identified reliability issues with Onkyo receivers of late. Can't argue with the bang for buck here though.. Cheap!
Touching wood; I'm using an onkyo 508 at present and never had an issue; does everything I want and works fantastically!
The issues surrounding reliability were largely solved with a firmware update over six months ago. You won't find anyone with an updated device complaining.
I have the 515,had all sorts of issues out of the box, but after upgrading there was no problem
