"(contents of kit subject to change due to ongoing product improvements)"

    and

"My items are not fake! I Guarantee it or your money back…"

Not exactly beaming with confidence. Too bad if you get the pack missing the clippers.

    • that would kind of defy the definition of 'improvement' wouldnt it? lol
tho, OP, it comes with one set of blades, lots of COMBS for different lengths

Delivery fee at Harvey Norman? For those that can't get to one.

      • -1

Works out to be $0.40 extra for delivery. You do get it from a more reputable retailer though; at the very least the stock's authenticity should be more reliable.

        • +1

Harvys reliable?? they will do ANYTHING for a buck

    • Damn, you guys are sharp.
Didn't see that lower price at HN. Since when was HN cheaper than other retails anyway?

    • +1

      @berger

if you did want to order it online this weekend, $19.95 - $5.00 WELCOME5 = $14.95 pickup or $20.90 delivered

      • +1

isnt the 5% code only for orders over $25

        • +2

you're right. worked on the $24.50 samsung printer though

        • +1

          Didn't work on this :-P

    • Harvy Norman dont want us 'professionals' - they can blow it out their butt.
Also - there isnt one within 50ks of me - far cheaper to mail order from these guys

  • Why would the contents change? Manufacturers don't change product contents weekly. Sounds like refurbished or second hand product. Plus they anticipate what they're selling will be suspected to be fake - why? Way dodgey.

    • +1

      Agreed. I'd stay away.

    • +1

Nothing dodgy and it was all sealed in the box. Probably just a legal disclaimer if anything.

    • +1

The 'contents may change' thing was on a leaflet in the box, a part of the user instructions from memory. If the product continues developing the company will not have to re-do the instructions/contents listing every time based on the disclaimer. WAHL make quality clippers. Not way dodgy, although it might sound it..

That's fair enough but why would a seller have a guarantee saying its a genuine product or they'll refund? If they guarantee its genuine why would they be offering a refund? Either they're using dodgey suppliers, or its fake and they're hoping you don't notice ?

    • It is a REALLY normal caveat on many models - just means if the manufacturer tweak the design of the handle, or the way the combs clip on, give it more power or the like, then it may not look EXACTLY like the picture. It is clearly stated that it would be for product improvement.
The guarantee of genuine product - there are so many fakes online these days it makes perfect sense to make that sort of guarantee.

I'm a weekly no-blade head shaver, my old man has this WAHL kit and it cuts right down to the skin giving a real close crew cut. I purchased a more expensive budget model a while back that doesn't cut anywhere near as close to the head as this model. At ~$20-25 its a great quality clipper for that price whether you get it sent or pickup. If you go to the barber for a #1 I'm sure you'll be happy recouping your money after one WAHL home shave. Thanks for posting.

It does work out to be greatly economical in the long run. I gave it a run over my head with the 2 blade but might go shorter next time and thanks for vouching for the quality of this unit.

The Good Guys have this model also for $19.95.

  • I've got one but recently got a Panasonic cordless hair clipper. If you are cutting yourself, cordless is really a huge advantage. I even take mine overseas if I'm travelling for a few months on end, I hate going to hairdressers overseas, language barriers and all…

    • +1

I thought all OzBargainers cut their own hair

      • …or don't cut their hair at all LOL

    • -1

Maybe PSB, but those certain special extras you get in certain 'hairdressers' in Asia make it soo worthwhile.. IfYouKnowWhatIMean.jpg

  • is this made in the USA ?

    • No, this model is made in China. The USA made clippers are usually $70-80 minimum for corded and $400 for cordless.

  • +1

still wondering if I should bite the bullet and pay a little more for a USA made wahl

  • How do you tell the difference between manufacturing location? By part number?
