    Anyway, the rental of the boxes is built into their overpriced fees… Nothing free here…

  This is stupid. Nothing is free here. And the $396 does not get you much. Not even a good deal. For less than that you could buy the boxes, hire a truck from Thrify, and two guys to work all day.

  A 3 tonne truck is the one you can hire with an A-class license. Took me 4 loads (more than 6 hrs) to move a 3br unit worth of furniture and boxes.

  Use gumtree and pay around $50-$60ph and buy the plastic boxes from officeworks (only $5.97 for 55L tubs). Then to save the environment resell the boxes on gumtree (or maybe return to officeworks if in original condition)

  I've used Yellow Express the past few times I've moved, cause they only charge a minimum half hour per booking, which is really great when you're moving locally & aren't taking 3 hours or more to move stuff!!! My last move was less than half these jokers price!!!!
  And FYI, want free boxes?? Go to your local Bunnings!!! They have a metal cage at the front of the store filled with boxes for people to take!!!

  where are you guys finding cheaper prices, my friend is looking at moving they are all 500+ for moving from castle hill to central coast.

    Tell your friend to look up & call Yellow Express - minimum charge is half an hour, & they charge per half hour rather than by the hour like most places, & they do special deals on certain days or at certain times

    that's a long trip so would cost quite a bit. I would guess 2 hours pickup 1 hour driving there 1 hour unload and 1 hour back again so 5 hours + petrol as its a long way, I would think $400-$500 would be about right for 5 hours. Try gumtree that are heaps on there.

      Um, what 1 hour back again? Yellow Express certainly don't charge you for going back to wherever they came from, nor do they charge for petrol!!!
      And if it's an hour to unload, how can it be 2 hours to pickup??
