    How much are they normally?

    Screw this

  • Better than the $12 I paid for a similar set from Bunnings last week. Does this set include hex bits?

    • +1

sorry, just realised i hadn't answered this - there are 4 hex bits in different sizes

  • Great if it fits that B&D Gyro.

    • +3

it does - why else would i provide such a description? :)

      • As you can see below, you were too cryptic. :)

        • sorry - it was also hyperlinked

edit: are you a true ozbargainer? :)

    • oops…read that as "B&D Gyno"…lol

  • these would be perfect with the black and decker cordless screw driver

Junk. You'll never be able to undo a properly tightened allen socket bolt with these, so it leaves the phillips and flat bits - useless if you own a screwdriver set. Use the money to buy a pie instead.

how about any other set with the gyro? :)

      • I reckon the gyro's junk too. I'm a fitter, I use hand tools for my profession, and don't recommend buying tools that won't last a lifetime. Buy a quality set of screwdrivers. They'll last you for life, won't ever need recharging, you won't lose the tiny bits (that are usually crap quality and break because they've been case hardened too deeply). Feel free to neg me again because I hurt your feelings by not liking your post, but the truth is this is a crap set of tools.

        • I think this has a market place.

Not everyone uses tools everyday, let alone once a month so they cant justify good stuff.

        • Horses for courses. The Gyro is above average, especially for $15-$20…

        • Feel free to neg me again

i did not neg you - your opinion(s), which you clarified as requested, are valid

  • Anyone successfully found this at their local Bunnings yet? I've tried a few but couldn't find the exact one. Will be trying Chatswood next, so any directions appreciated.

    • They're not on the corner where The Good Guys are, just one shop further up the slope on Smith Street away from Castle Cove.

      If that's what you mean…

I'm trying there in the morning.

      • Sorry, I didn't mean directions to Chatswood but rather where to find these bit sets inside their Bunnings. I've tried Chatswood today as well, with no luck. Giving up now and may just go for the Ikea 17 piece fixa toolset instead for $12.99

        • sorry to hear your visits have been unsuccessful :(

have you tried asking to check which stores stock it?

          else perhaps http://www.masters.com.au/product/100596770/kobalt-ratchetin… instead?

        • I didn't mean directions to Chatswood but rather where to find these bit sets inside their Bunnings.

          Might save me a trip then… :/

Did you ask anyone there? I would've expected them to be in the tools section: Go in, turn left and then go to the end. There should be a counter to the right.

        • Didn't bother asking the guys at the Chatswood store, but did have a very thorough look in the Tools section - they stocked many others but none at a similar price. I might check out the ones at Masters when I happen to drive by there. Thanks, tonester.

        • Found the 32 piece version for $12.68.

        • Was this at chatswood? Can you confirm it works in the B&D gyro and would you mind posting a pic?

          Cheers :)

        • Chatswood. No pics, but I did confirm it was 25mm so should fit.

  • I have the CraftRight quickchange 32 piece bit set for $12.68 from Bunnings (cant find it online) which includes hex bits good for IKEA furniture assembly. I can confirm that the bits fit the B&D Gyro. The set even comes with an extension piece which is handy because the snub-nosed gyro does not always get into the tight spaces. I think you can find similar sets for under $10 but I didn't want to wait.

2 other sets which might fit (and have other uses):

  • Thanks guys. Might go for a larger set with hex bits then. Sometimes, I think the quest for ozb deals is too time consuming but I can't seem to fight it off :)
