  Very Cool looking, but call me stupid it looks like the iphone version uses the old (iphone4) connector to attach to the device.

  For the iPhone5 if you use your original usb to lightning cable… where does it attach? or do you mean lightning adaptor?

  Yeah I wouldn't go around saying this is for iPhone 5 when you need to use an adapter.

  As chrhodes says, you can't use your lightning cable with this, you need a dock connector to lightning adapter, and even then I'd be worried about the phone falling off of the end.

  I've been waiting for a lightning connector Une Bobine to come out and this post got me unnecessarily excited.

  It includes the iPhone 5 adapter and your lightning cable wraps around une bobine. You don't need a separate dock connector to lightning adapter. See the fourth picture on the site - you will get a better idea how it is used.

  As for it falling off the phone that is unlikely, the phone is securely attached by the high quality connectors (not cheap plastic type). It a very secure fitting and holds the phone with no problems.

    I always like the idea of the usb wall plates .. but I feel they should have a physical switch on them too so as not to be vampiring the power all the time.

  Actually the wall plates are more intelligent than that. The ports automatically shutdowns once you remove the cable and close the dust cover so it doesn't require a separate switch to turn it off.

    So the dust cover is the switch, thats fine - but a fiddly solution, the isn't obvious and all too easy not to do, would be better to spring load the socket or something along those lines (think the button on the end of a pen).

    I know you just sell the item, but as buyer thats what I'm looking for.

      The dust cover is spring loaded so it automatically closes once the cable is removed. Can't get any simpler and easier than that. A lot of thought has gone into the powerpoint and all the people that bought them are extremely happy and satisified.
