Not much in the way of Blu Rays this week but a couple of nice big DVD Box Sets stand out in the Deals of the Week at Amazon UK. Both sets will be Region 2, unless confirmed otherwise.

First up is The West Wing Complete Series Season 1-7 on DVD. AUD$56 delivered. A decent price for a huge set (44 discs) of a quality program. Averages out to $8 per season.

Second up is Clint Eastwood - 35 Films 35 Years DVD Box Set - surprisingly enough, has 35 discs! AUD$62 delivered. Averages out to about $1.75 per movie.

    Pity the Eastwood set is Region 2. And a shame Sony are bastards that won't region-free-ize my PS3.

      I know - I have a separate Sony Blu Ray player connected for any DVD's that are different region. It pretty much plays everything.

        I'd get one, but I have a very simple TV setup and I really don't want another box, two more cables (power + HDMI), and another remote (or have to buy and program a universal one).

    The Clint Eastwood set is missing a lot of movies including the Good Bad and the Ugly trilogy. Where Eages Dare is amazing if you haven't seen. One of the best action movies from that time along with Guns of Navarone.

      It's a Warner Brothers set. The Man with no name trilogy is owned by MGM (aka SONY), and distributed by Fox, so you'll not likely see a complete box set. But it is the set of Warner Bros Eastwood films, and a great price imo.

    If you havent seen West Wing, its absolutely worth it. Know its old now but the dialogue is intelligient, witty and fast paced.

    West Wing is a Masterpiece.

    It will take you a few weeks to watch all seasons(doing it now)well worth it.

    For anyone buying The West Wing, check all the seasons have the complete discs when the set arrives.

    I bought this set about a year ago, only just began watching and Season 3 has two Disc 2's and no Disc 3.

    Annoying and too late to get a replacement.
