Delivery kinda killed it for me.

    • After the success of the FREE Kogan SIM cards (plus delivery), Dick Smith has decided to springboard off that.

Just got it for $20 pick up at store (click and collect).

  • What does it mean by network ready?

Would this slow down the Ethernet over power adapter?

    • yeah i already have one of those in the OP.. the point is you can either click and collect for 29 on the other deals, or have it delivered to your door with this one for 29.95

Different board to this deal! This 1 usually sells for $10 more.

Hoped someone would post this as I am lazy!
This is their dearest surge board ($69), rather than 1 in previous DS deals ($59 - $29 now with click & collect).
"Network Ready" means it has RJ45 sockets rather than the phone ones of other DS boards.
Has 1 in & 1 out RJ45 socket, rather than 1 in & 2 out phone ones. (see photos in deals or DS)
    Includes
Network Cable fitted with 2 x RJ45 Plugs
    1.8-metre Coaxial Cable fitted with 2 x F plugs

  • You can buy in-store for 29.95 this weekend as well. They wont match the online price, just the price plus delivery :-)

  • Not this board but the Bosston board http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/smallfish_info.php?products_….

Lost SBS and Briz31 channels using the tv aerial connections and when using the ethernet connections reduced transfer speed for my WDTV Live SMP to below 1mbs, so I stopped using those.

  • Looks like you can now click and collect.so you can get it for $20 :)

  • Has anyone successfully collected at $20? I've ordered but I'm not getting my hopes up

PS> was at 2 different DS stores yesterday and yes you can pick up for $29 in store (so the online only part for $29 doesn't mean much as you can get yours today for the same price rather than waiting).

    • I ordered this when they had 50% off cables :
      http://dicksmith.com.au/product/CA0305/3-5mm-plug-to-3-5mm-p…

Received a call 2 days later to let me know that they didn't have that particular model but that they had this model instead :
      http://dicksmith.com.au/product/CA03051/3-5mm-plug-to-3-5mm-…

Looks the same to me but the one they had in stock was $5 more than the one I ordered for click and collect.

Thinking they might do the same thing for this powerboard: "Don't have it in stock for $20 but we have it for $29.95 :("
Anyway, I've ordered one this morning, will drop in to my local dicksmith during my lunch break tommorow and see what they say.

Yes. I picked up two of these $20 each today

  • Wouldn't it be better getting a proper UPS than one of these boards? A decent UPS isn't that expensive these days.

    • I was just after a decent powerboard. Those aren't cheap unless you go for the lowest IKEA or Kmart brands.

  • Picked mine up today for $20

  • Was refused by the Sydney Penrith Mulgoa road store for click and collect. Got a MSG first said ready for pick up, but got a phone call immediately after that and told me don't do pick up, they said it's an online only deal and by a mistake that's allowed the 'click and collect'. He said they definitely can not let it go at that price, can only let it go 69.xx. Refuse to hear more query and hung up directly.

  • Instead, bought this from office works:

Also see one of this with built in energy meter in there Wetherill park Sydney store:
