Slightly mediocre piece of kit, but the benefit is that it's a modem and router. Good for a backup or to tide you over till the next big thing

Basically D-Link did a v2 of this, pretty much same innards in a new case and gave it the same number in their wisdom confusing the heck out of of everyone in the process.
Just an FYI, the N300 is junk when compared to the N300 from netgear.
Much slower speed, ping is about the same

I'm pretty sure the fastest wireless N router is 900Mbps. The maximum speed of wireless N? I'm pretty sure is also 900Mbps but correct me if I'm wrong.

I should note that unless you're going to be streaming multiple Full HD shows around the home or you're experiencing some serious interference you really wouldn't need these. I manage to stream standard definition video and play on-line gaming at the same time with a wireless g router although I don't live in apartments.
I bought one of these about 7 months ago and its still in use…I think i paid $50-60 for it and it doesn't seem to have any issues :) I think its a ok deal.
