At that price you wouldn't expect it to be great, but according to the US links I provided it rates 3.5-4 stars which isn't bad for a $129 camera
I'd rather spend more on a lasting product than update every 3-6 months, wouldn't you? But speaking of the camera, be fragile and it does it's job
I wouldn't buy this myself, but 42 out of 58 reviews on Amazon have giving this a rating of 4 stars or more, which indicates a majority of the people are very happy with their purchase.
It's all on the buyer, the way they use the camera! For family purposes and events It'll suit them but for Camera fanatics that use it a couple times a week it's not sensational
camera fanatics don't buy $100 cameras. so i have to agree with you in that it wouldn't take their fancy.
If you look at the stats, the reviews are all over the place. Quite a few people gave it 1 out of 5. Some of those were "it broke", "the zoom is too noisy", "bad low light performance".
However, they are saying this when the assume the price is US $230 - which would often translate to about AU $300 by the time you add GST, shipping and markup. Yes, I know that BIGW sells it for $200.
IMHO, this is a fantastic camera for the price listed here - just beware of the dubious build quality.
Samsung products comes with 1 year warranty. I guess it will cover it.
How does it rate to the Q10 offered a few weeks back?
That had 10 optical zoom, this one has 30. There maybe other differences.
According to one reviewer on youtube (the 12 minute long review of the H300), it's definitely better.
Slightly better than Q10 but my suggestion spend little bit more and go for good one.
Ended up buying it plus Pioneer Headphones. Both shipped to Melbourne for $11. Got another 10% off after entering Woolworths everyday rewards card number… Awesome deal.

Not that good of a product, had for 2-3 Months and started slowing down, picking up poor quality footage, eventually broke
