Have the A15, terrible, laggy phone.
If this is anything like it, I'd stay away.

Seems to be a similar experience.

      Phone Arena:

Our biggest complaint against the Galaxy A15 5G last year was about its slow performance, so have things changed with the A16 5G?

      Not really.

Technically, the A16 5G does come with a slightly faster chipset, but the increase is definitely not big enough to get rid of the almost constant stutter when using this phone. This quickly gets extremely annoying. You notice stutter when you unlock the phone, when you use apps, when you scroll around and it's just not a good experience.

The A16 5G also only packs 4GB of RAM, not merely enough for Android's multitasking requirements.

      It's 1 better

      Samsung Galaxy A16 5G

I got two for work.. Same issue bit laggy but no idea why as the specs are more then good enough :) my Galaxy S10+ from 5 years ago is like 1000 times faster

So its got a decent battery and years of software updates. What people who want a PHONE would want. It just doesn't have the performance or RAM that people who want something to play games on would want. And the price is reasonable for that.

samsung finally include nfc on the base model… so that's something i guess

    • +1

This is definately not their base model unfortunately.

    Only 4GB RAM? Pass.

    • how many minimum ?

      • nowadays 8gb minimum I would consider for work phones especially if you want it to last a few years

  • My old Pixel 3 XL (as new appart from battery) only has 4 GB and runs buttery smooth and swift, although no gaming rocket of course. Pretty sure iPhones and pixels run smoother with less ram because of better software optimisation from what I read.

Thanks for the warnings, nearly pulled trigger, a good cheap droid phone seems hard to find

    • Put in an extra $130.00 and get the nothing 2A

Which would make it not cheap in my eyes
