I got the 1.2L last year, and the insulation failed after a few months of occasional use. I'm not sure if it's a quality issue or if I just got a dud.

Reached out to Thermos but no got response. Then, I reached out to Amazon and got full refund.

Amazon has really good customer support. A few times I've asked to refund something I no longer wanted, they issued me the refund and said to keep the item :)

Most expensive was a $50 humidifier, the remote control didn't work but front panel was fine. They sent me a new one and told me I could keep the "faulty" one.
@LostyJai: Oh cool, I had a sandisk 64gb with no problem I just tried to return it when the 256gb one got cheaper they told me to keep it , but twice I have reviewed a portable monitor and one time they sent me a replacement because I wasn’t happy with the LED bleed ($230) and last time they refunded me a $320 18.5 inch portable touch screen monitor just because I wrote to them and I didn’t know how to use it lol , the sellers refunded the items not amazon
I've got this, the 700ml and a coffee mug, all working really well..So you probably got a dud, glad you got your refund..

You most likely dropped it/knocked it a little too hard.
Despite appearances, a lot of double-wall insulated stainless steel drink/thermos bottles are actually pretty sensitive to impacts as the steel inside them is quite thin and even a slight crack/warp in the metal can compromise the vacuum and thus completely ruin the insulation properties.
Did you drop it a few times? Dropping it tends to crack the insulation on the inside. If it has dents on the outside, then chances are, the insides are also damaged.
How did it fail? Did you notice the interior or exterior wall cracked or that it didnt stay hot/cold anymore?
Got a small one for my toddler's food, even keeps a chopped up toasted sandwich warm for hours (I didn't believe my wife when she told me to do that haha)
These are awesome, they keep ZoopaDoopa's frozen for most of a day.
