I don't think discounts like this do anything really.

People who were gonna buy from CD WOW will take advantage of this offer, but there won't be too many people buy stuff only because of the $2 off.

Not to mention if you didn't check CD WOW (or OzBargain) within the 8 hours, you can't take advantage of this offer anyway.
