I know beauty is in the eyes of the beholders, but gosh it's ugly..
48kwh battery. Having to pay extra for a motor protection plate seems odd. And $358.11 from a type 2 charging cable is about $150 too much.
Freight to Sydney will cost around $1400, then you need to register it plus stamp duty.
For some reason, whenever I see this brand name I think it stands for "Get ready with me".
Their scattergun advertising strategy hasn't worked on you?
For Australia it's Go With More.More what? They never told us.
Same here. Too much TikTok/reels I think
Carsales has many of these cars for under 30k just in case if anyone is actually planning to get one
Any idea if it's ancap tested?
Great price but are the blinkers/indicators on the left or right hand side of the steering wheel? All my cars have had blinkers on the right so having them on the left would be a challenge for me.
Left, and some people seem to have an absurd amount of problems with them as they are a little different to most indicators. If I had to describe them I would say they are electronic rather than mechanical, but I'd had on other cars in the past so really wasn't an issue to use them.
That's just media hype, from what I've researched online stats show internal combustion engines catch fire more often than EV's.
Don't buy it, it is rubbish, this version has quit from Chinese market for years, because it has several issues:
1. It says it can 400-500 kilo meters, but a lot of real driving test video on tiktok shows it can only run 200 kilo meters (without air conditioner running).
2. After several month running, it Brake will have some noise like "ka ka ka"
3. Car is too small, it cannot carry too much things, and even it is so small, it cannot run a very long journey.
4. The Vehicle OS is supper rubbish, it will only react after 1s you pressed on it. And it will freeze every time you did too much operation like (change volume etc.)As an owner of Ora, most of your comments are incorrect. Seems you are cheated by some fake video in TikTok.
1 my ora can always go over 350km and at least 10% battery left
2 Brakes never had any issue like you said
3 yes car is small, its cargo space is limited, but the inside the cabin is amazing large. Car is comfortable for 4 adults
4 Car system is fast and responsive, never had any time of freeze to be honest. This car in Australian market has better chip compared with it in China
I tried to book a test drive on the gold coast. No luck. The guy said they'd sold the only two they ever had, and no plans for a restock. None available to test drive either in GC or Brisbane and couldn't tell me where or when they would have another.
He said "yeah, sales are very low, but if we can't offer a test drive, nobody's going to buy them are they?!"If it was Robina GWM we had that last one as a loan car for a few days, had to return it so they could sell it as it was the only one they had left and had some Haval for the rest of the loan period.
I do like the look of the GT
I had the Ora ultra for over 7 months. I love this car and I had no issue about it. Here are some tips:
Pros:
Good looking inside and outside, very well driving experience, feels more like sporty car, equipped with most new techs.Cons:
Portable charging cable is slow, 40 hrs for 10% to 100%
Limited cargo space
Lack of phone app and no usbcIf charging and cargo space is not a problem for you, then Ora worth every penny you spend
That charging speed is just the included charger, and is pretty standard for all EV. Upgraded chargers require upgraded plugs or wiring, but speeds up charging massively.
I bought a GWM ORA in White. Absolutely loving it. I was considering an MG4 at first but after snooping the MG4 forums, the qaulity control with MG4 appeared to be woeful.
If you don't mind the tiny boot, it drives great, the safety features are far more refined than I thought they would be.Lastly, the more I look at the car, the more I like it.
Their bread and butter is in servicing the cars they sell
