I've been using it to save $2 (before service charge) on coffee.

The original deal has been extended until the end of Feb.

Minimum order $4 to save $2. Maximum claims of 21 per week.

However, not a bad deal if you can find a cafe nearby.

You'd be hard pressed to find cafe coffeess <$4 these days.

      • True, but I can see few local cafe shops near train station that charging $4.95 for latte/cappuccino etc. This is at South Sydney metro area.

  • How much is the service charge?

7c on a $5.50 coffee, so ended up paying $3.57

  • The problem with skip is that the only cafes using them are the ones desperate for customers. It's not worth the $2 saving for coffee if it's a bad coffee in the first place.

This must vary by area as two of my locals using Skip in metro Melb suburb are highly rated and always busy cafes.

      • Same here, my local cafe I've been going to since I started WFH has this deal. Their coffee is great.

    • The cafes I use skip on serve good coffees. They use skip to better manage the queues of people lining up and reduce serving times

Fairly limited choices in Sydney suburbs. Not worth the install for me.

    • Same, no places open around me, all say closed! Crazy!

  • Thanks OP.

  • Great offer thanks!

  • Been using it at my local cafe and their coffee is good. 6c service fee for a $5 coffee. Bonus skip the queue. Awesome deal.

Thanks op. Been using this since the original post and have saved about $120 over the 3 months.

If you want to save a few bucks on coffee for the year, the—$2 deal can also be applied to their $5 gift cards.

  • Hmmmm. Never heard of this app before. There's a cafe here that uses skip. Ordered and was $5.xx but wondering where/when the discount kicks in? The FAQ says to just pay with MasterCard and it's applied automatically but I can see the full amount being charged to CC.

    • +2

The FAQ doesn't say to just pay with Master Card

Why can't I receive the promotion if I just use my Mastercard as I normally would on Skip?
Mastercard is launching a new payment wallet called Click to Pay. This promotion is specifically to get people to trial their new payment system, so unfortunately regular Mastercard payments aren’t eligible. Try checking out with Click to Pay instead.

    • You need to have applied the promo. It's not necessarily automatic. Support will swear they can't credit you the promo amount but they can if you say you'll chargeback.

They say it's automatically applied but that's not always the case.
