I'm really happy with the mowers performance and surprised by the runtime I get out of it. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a self propelled battery mower.

Also impressed with the time it took (10 days) for the blower redemption to be approved (hasn't shipped yet).

Not to be that guy, but isn’t it $200 bonus points with $1 extra spend?

    • +2

You're absolutely right, I'll correct the post, cheers! I blindly copied the $300 on the image, it would appear they forgot to update that when they dropped the price from the RRP.

      • Sorry to be noob, I am not a member with Total Tools, but I am seriously thinking to buy this mower. What is that $200 bonus point for? Does it mean I buy $1000 product and I can use $200 in next purchase? Thank you

    • This item was excluded from Bonus points and it still is at Sydney Tools, so make sure you check with the store before hand. Not all items are included even through it says store wide.

      • Thanks @Mortin. How do you know it's excluded from bonus points? The T&Cs are vague, is it the "This offer may not apply to some catalogue lines, clearance lines & products already marked down." Why would they list the bonus point promo on the item if it's excluded?

        • On black friday sale they refused me instore both at Sydney tools and Total tools

200 "Active Insider Rewards" tracked for my purchase.

        ACTIVE INSIDER REWARDS
        Type Price Value Expiry
        Promotional Reward 200 25-DEC-2025

It looks like there is a little wait before these can be or are automatically converted into "Insider Dollars" that can then be spent on the online store.

        • Can take 24 hours to show.

          • +1

@bashar20: Their website is just confusing. Those 200 "Insider Rewards" are now available to apply when I go to checkout other products, and the summary page under my account showing 0 "Insider Dollars" doesn't matter. Therefore the $200 tracked quite quickly for me in about 30min of purchase.

            • @dhx: My last order with them. It was ready for click and collect. Yet it wasn’t showing under orders and I didn’t get the points. However after 24hrs of ordering. Order showed under order history and got the reward dollars.

        • Awesome, an absolute steal, I feel like buying another one for the batteries and bonus points

      I hardly know her!

  • Is this a good deal?

    • +1

Yes it is, its a great mower

      • Do you own one?

  • Self propelled is a bit over my budget. Do you reckon either one of these is good enough?

    • The second link with the larger deck and redemption offer is the better buy. It really depends on your needs.
I had a capable Ozito self propelled mower for 2 years before it failed, bought after moving into a large property and my Victa 82v (great mower) didn't have the runtime and batteries were expensive. I was hanging out for a good deal on the Greenworks 60v SP but the Makita in this post (Mortin's original post) made my mind up with its value for my needs.
Things I consider are battery ecosystem, runtime, battery availability and cost, wheels and wheel position close to the deck, self propelled was a must for me for the size of the lawn and the swing back blades were the real kicker. I have them on the Victa and it's night and day compared to the bar blade on the Ozito. The (unavailable) Ozito was crude but did everything i needed with infinite runtime (too many batteries here) but ultimately failed.
There are some nice Ego deals going at the moment but I'm too cautious of the stories of their failing batteries just out of warranty.

      • How big is your land size? Which mower are you referring when you say mortin original post?

        • Land size is over 1300m2, majority is grass but not sure exactly sure what the areas is. The mower in Mortin's post is the same as this post, just being sure to give them credit for solving my needs.
For comparison, I haven't exhausted both 5Ah Makita 40v batteries in a single mow, compared to needing just under 6 x 4Ah Ozito batteries for that self propelled mower.

          • @ohgee: Have you considered petrol mowers? Ive heard they are more reliable, and better for bigger land size

            • @bargin424: I haven't. My first mower was electric and no fuss, still have it and it's running great but my body doesn't like pushing it on the slopes here. The Ozito was up to the task and can't really complain about getting my money back after it failing. The Makita is a whole different beast, time will tell how it goes with batteries but it's clear it's much more thought out than the Ozito.

Thank you VERY much OP, I really wanted this, as I missed the previous deal. Merry Christmas and happy new year :-)

    • Merry Christmas! Happy this helped you out!

  • Been considering a 21inch petrol honda mower. Any experts here who can provide feedback on the Honda vs this mower?

    https://bwmachinery.com.au/product/honda-hrn216pku-lawn-mowe…

I'll be mowing approx 400m2 of backyard and frontyard. Been advised to go around the 20inch mark.

Now im debating whether a small self propelling mower is better than a bigger but manual mower. Land is mainly flat so not too concerned about hills and effort for a manual mower.

    • +1

This mower is far from small, I'm mowing probably double that space and this thing is a beast. The type of grass is probably a factor and i have trash grass that grows fast at this time of year but even on silent mode this thing just cuts through anything. Ran it yesterday on 15-20cm tall grass at 25mm cut height, self propelled at the faster end of the lever and it just worked.

      • What are your views on this one?

        https://sydneytools.com.au/product/dewalt-dcz35713x2xe-54v-x…

I have a dewalt kit at home and thinking it will be good with my eco system. I also am in need of a trimmer which this is nice to have as well as a blower which I dont have at the moment.

        • Anytime I looked at a Dewalt mower the reviews suggested the runtime was pathetic. I think highly of Dewalt tools but when it comes to mowers I couldn't consider them.

          • +1

@ohgee: Dewalt mowers are never good. Stay away.

            • @bashar20: Yep, that's the opinion I have formed also.

Absolutely fantastic mower - Ozito PXC steel deck recently died after many years of service, and it did the job but good lord it's a night and day difference going to this thing - I would gladly pay full price for it if I could have the time and energy it would have saved for all those years back. Can't recommend it enough at this price.
