Sold by a third party but fulfilled by Amazon.

I would rather get it from Bunnings for $1 more (or try to price-beat) for warranty purposes.

  • Decent for 2. The 6 pack deal @ power tool specialist still seems a better deal at $565 with the bonus packout.

I'm confused - I've purchased my batteries before at $99 each, separate times, as it seems that it goes down to price fairly often? So this is $18 more per battery. Agree with Overproof that with the 6 pack deal it's $94 per battery but I don't think most people need 6

Yeah my thoughts exactly these aren't the best deal

    • agreed, i got for $99 each in the past aswell

I bought the 6 battery combo plus another 2 with a charger. To be used on my son's electric motorbike, he can ride all day now!

    • I think Makita/Bunnings are trying to take advantage of the bad experience some will have with buying Chinese knock-off batteries. It's like the strategy is crank the price, customers either wear it, or go buy a cheap knockoff that underperforms and fails early, then come back and pay the Makita tax.

The price of good quality LiPo cells is surely dropping with the massive increase in production volumes. Because they're a custom interface, there is effectively no competition. Ans we know what happens to prices when there's no real competition.

That said, I recently rolled the dice and ordered 2x chinese batteries (solds as 6Ah, marked as 8Ah !) from a local-sounding supplier (https://aussiebattery.com/, turns out to be Colorado based according to Mastercard), for $106. Haven't used them enough to tell how good they are yet

      • US batteries are generally ok, and after browsing the site, and product, I know who's behind it - He's am Aussie, as is the company, and the stock… Didn't notice it took a couple days yp arrive ?

Anything listed on this website can be trusted. I dib;t know any individual in Australia who has done more for batteries, particularly focus on safety and awareness for almost 2 decades "that I'm aware of".

Everything said and done, the demand for individual lithium cells has tanked dramatically with…. 100, maybe more vape stores closed down and stock destroyed, eBay pulling all 18650 listings, and there being very few 20;21700's/ What will all of this achieve? People arrwemprinf to create their own from AA//AAA ;otjoi, ce;;s?.
I still have ,y very first 2 18650s which I purchased from this person abpit 10yrs ago now… They're the least degraded cells o have ever seen

  • Ive seen these on sale for $99 often, I'd get them individually and save.

I have successfully got Bunnings to price beat this: https://powertoolspecialists.com.au/products/makita-same-tim…
For $242.46. so if you need the dual charger I think this is a OK deal.

    • I reckon that's the more attractive deal, unless either you're a full time tradie, or happy to sell off excess batteries.

      • I would have loved the 6 pack but missed out

    • Thanks! Got the price beat today as well. Happened to need an extra charger along with the batteries so this worked out perfect for me.

  • why doesn't dewalt ever have battery deals like this =(

    • If you’re buying their tools surely you’d have an excess of batteries?

      • Depends what you buy the last few i've bought were skin only. Angle grinder, multitool.

    • +1

You've gotta keep an eye out for deals and end of life stock clearances and price match stuff.

I'm heavily invested in the dewalt eco system now, there stuff is mostly great and go on sale a lot more than any other brand I've found.

Also they're customer service is damn good in australia if you get to the right person.

But yeah, never have decent battery sales. I don't need 54v.

  • I only need 1 battery, not 2

    • Then you really dont actually need any batteries

  • Am i the only one wjp finds it ironic that these are precisely the same value for money as the current Ryobi deal? $18.8ƷƷ̇/Ah….i was contemplatingmoving to a central battery platform and just purchasing adapters.

I thought Makita would be a contender, but Ozito has the rest beaten by more than half @ $8,25.Ah…

Not forgetting as i mentioned somewhere earlier, Ah & Ohms Law is not a good measure of a battery's ability, Airlines prohibit batteries over 100Wh carry on… A measuew of energyb stored, not power
