I am still angry that EBay did not honour the offer due to whatever error processing a submitted order. Considering cancelling my EBay plus when it is due for renewal.

    • +9

Absolutely agree. Dont bother with ebay

    • +1

Well, some orders got accepted. Mine was one

      • +20

That's fine, but unilaterally cancelling an order and subsequently accepting different orders is not great.

    • -2

They immediately offer a $30 voucher.

    • +3

As the promotion coupon was exclusively offered by Mobile Citi to Ozbargain .. they should have accepted partial responsibility to meet frustrated claims IMHO

    • DO IT !

      thanks for letting us know.

I just want to buy this for 299$ pleeeeease

    • Agreed. Id buy 3 for the whole family at that price.

I had 2 cancelled by ebay. Jerks.

  • +1

Come on… Please give us something on the G84… Just need 2 real sims! Haha.

    • +1

256hb and dual physical Sims is all I want

  • Comparing the Motorola Edge 50 Vs Motorola Edge 50 Neo.
Currently JB HI FI have Edge 50 for $448 and this deal on Edge 50 Neo for $358.

Very similar specs overall, slightly bigger and higher resolution screen on Edge 50.
Snapdragon processor instead of MediaTek Dimensity 7300.

Is it worth the extra $90 ??

    Will buy one today

    • +1

I would say yes, just for the processor. Pay with discounted GC and the gap won't be more than 50

      • Discounted GC?

        • Gift cards

        • +2

          Discounted good c**ts

Have been looking at these 2 as well. Have done some reading and the Edge has better regional and rural reception if that's important. Pus bigger screen among other things.

Edge has a curved screen no? That's a deal breaker for me

      • Ah good point Thanks. I had forgotten about that. Probably a deal breaker for me as well. My brother has a curved screen phone and I really don't like using it.

        • The Neo has a flat screen. Edge 50 is curved.

    • Edge 50 has a curved screen

    • The battery life of the Edge 50 is not good.

    • For 50 bucks yeah the edge is a better phone.

The comparison is very close in the end.
Regional reception is important to me. Good to know.

OP had us reeling on the eBay deal $200.
    Fingers crossed

  • +2

Really happy with mine, only issues are the camera is a bit poop, and adding a glass has a bubble around the edge due to some curvature, but it is a flat screen.

Also my box from mobileciti smells really good, any idea what that smell/perfume is?

    • +1

Motorola perfume their boxes themselves, smells quite nice

    • The Edge models all have curved edges. Hence why they have "Edge" in their names.

      • Why do you spread misinformation? The Edge 50 Neo has a flat screen.

        • Wrong, it's got a flat screen with curved edges.

I bought from last $349 JB deal. Photo quality is very good. There is definitely a bit of a camera lag, but hopefully this will be fixed with future updates. I have not tried a GCam version yet, but may in the future.
I never noticed any immediate or pervasive perfume smell from mine out of the box. That said, the air surrounding me now does have a very pleasant Whiskey smell about it. Merry Christmas.

has your camera pics been overly bright. I'
m using the standard camera with flash off and I find the pictures are far too bright than what it looks in real life.

        • Subjectively No - Brightness and colour balance seem fine. I have not taken enough photos yet thoughh.. I will check over the next week and compare to my iPhone XR.

        • It does look a bit bright or slightly over-processed to me even on nature mode when compare to an old iPhone I was using. Not sure if it was the screen of edge 50 neo. I need to copy photo to computer to compare

          • @bheart: Yep I was facing the same thing. Compared to my previous s20+, it was oversaturated and bright. Maybe a GCAM might help with that but not too sure.

  • Might upgrade from my 10R, $358 is a good buy.

  • only max 140mhz NR bw, sad for future 5G networks

  • If I order online if in stock is shipment going to make it in time ? Would JB HiFi price match ?

    • In time for what?

      • +1

Sorry just if ordered and whether it would ship before 27th-31st.

    • +1

Jb Hi-Fi does not match coupon codes.

    • True, just checked with jbhi they can't match coupons. it's currently sitting at 398 in office works, but online only. Need something that I can collect in store to ensure I can get a sealed box.

      • +1

Click and collect is available at their Lidcombe store.

  • Is there an audio jack?

    • Nope

      • Thanks. Deal breaker.

        • There's not many phones that have an audio jack these days. You're probably better of, carrying a USB-C headphones or USB-C to 3.5mm jack adapter.

          • @NotReallyaMoneySaver: Good idea, thanks. Just bought an adaptor on Amazon for $5.

            • @Wardaddy: No worries. Now you can enjoy any phone you'd like with your headphones/earphones. I'm just curious but why do you use wired headphones?

              • @NotReallyaMoneySaver: Not OP, but I prefer wired if I have access to one because I don’t need to muck around with bluetooth settings (it auto connect but sometimes to the wrong devices, I have a few around the house) and the need to charge

Wireless is more convenient when the wire get in the way

                • @bheart: Bluetooth can be annoying but I found the convenience of a lack of wires is far more better. Charging sometimes can be a major PITA but I try to make it a daily thing, same as my phone.

  • A little confused about the timing. Is it valid now (past 6pm as per the description), or does it start 11pm tomorrow, or is it 6pm Boxing Day? Just tried their site and the code works but when I click the Purchase button nothing happens.

    • It's valid now. Just ordered one on my phone using PayPal. Didn't work on my PC either for some reason.

    • It's working. Started at 6pm today and ends tomorrow night.

    • Got it working. I think it didn't like the credit card number being auto filled. Had to click In that field and push enter then it worked.

This phone is good. I was one of the few lucky ones to get it for $200 in the last deal. For me, the camera is the only issue. It is very laggy and takes a few seconds to take the picture and sometimes by the time camera settles taking the picture, the object/or the people move because of the lag. Hope they fix this in the coming updates. The battery lasts me almost 2 and half days(with moderate to heavy use). The other issue was that the seller sent an Unsealed phone. The seal of the box was broken. I probably should have got it replaced but couldn't be bothered.

    • +1

I bought it for $350 during black Friday, and same, the seal was broken. I returned it and have decided I'll do only in-store purchases from now on or do a click and collect.

  • Would this be a worthy upgrade from a Samsung S23? I prefer compact phones and have been using Samsung since the S1. But I'm finally sick of the poor battery life and slow charging speeds. Everything else I am happy with, including the Samsung ecosystem.

I was thinking between this or the upcoming S25, but that will likely be the same ~4000 mah battery with 25W charging. This is also a little bigger, unsure how I'll like it. I tried an A52 5G a few years back and hated the size.

    • I tried and s23 for about a month recently, then got the Neo. It feels about the same size. I think theyre the same width, and the neo may be a bit taller.

So it feels as compact. And a bit lighter, which is nice.
Battery and charge are good, but you'd lose out speed.

Have you tried setting the s23 to limit CPU speed to 70%?

  • How do i get that price to show up? Still over $600 for me
