This is a sick deal. Been watching the fan price for some time now best I’ve seen been around 245 via tggc

    • Yep I nearly pulled the trigger at TGGC. To make this deal even better, a lot of retailers (TGGC, Costco) only sell the Black variant from what I can tell.

  • Is the fan battery operated

    • +1

Cordless & corded, outdoor & indoor, 20m range and 24-hour runtime.

Can be run either way, reminds me of the Xiaomi battery-operated fans. 24-hour runtime sounds pretty good, hopefully not overly optimistic.

This or vornado 633DC? anyone got review on those?

    • +3

Had bought vornado 633dc recently from good guys commercial for 182$ plus 9$ delivery. 633dc is decent for me. There is 5 years warranty. I checked shark flexbreeze and there is 2 years warranty. I believe for those wanting 2 in 1 combo for corded and cordless, this one is better. While, for warranty point of view, vornado 633dc is better.

For noise level of vornado, minimal noise until halfway, and after halfway speed noise level starts to become high. For me, i mostly keep fan below medium at night. So, has been alright. There is no remote in vornado, just a speed dial.

      • +1

Same experience re: noise. I have it on a Meross smart plug for remote control. Wish I could make the speed adjustment smart but that'll be too much hacking for me.

Had it for 2 years now - and it's used 45kWh in that time ~$10 to run

    • +1

I have some 633dc and plan to get one of these too , mainly for the water resistance and battery option and convert ability.

  • +3

This is so weird. We were literally just in TGG yesterday looking at this, and decided to wait and see if there's a discount on it over Boxing Day sales… and here we are.

  • Thanks OP. Been looking at this for a while. Stacked the discounts and got one!

  • +2

Thanks OP, ordered one. There is an offer for a water bottle instead of a blender if people prefer that too

  • Great deal, I’ve now managed to get the discounted GC however can’t see giftcard as a payment option while paying for the bundle. Do I need to be on desktop for this?

    • +2

Just use it under the coupon section

    • what are you going to do with the $30 balance on the gift card after purchasing this?

      • The total is $270, there is no left over from the $250 gift card

        • ah i see. thanks

  • Thanks OP, bought one

  • +1

I bought the fan a month ago from David Jones for almost full price. It's great and this price is unreal, so I'm buying a 2nd for another room. I only wish they had the darker one available also.

  • is the misting attachment a gimmick?

    • +2

I think it works to cool you down but I honestly wouldn’t want the humidity to damage everything in my home

      • +1

I think its meant to be used outdoors. The misting works with a garden hose attachment.

  • +6

I bought it because the price seems good… though admittedly I don't fully understand the value beyond a $30 pedestal fan besides portability. I'm assuming I'll be enlightened as well when it arrives!

    • Well for one, this can run with no power cable via inbuilt battery

  • I have a Breville Air Dynamic 3d (I may have overpaid in retrospect), how does this one compare to that, would anyone know?

    • that one has app control I think?

      • It does, I put Siri in everywhere though, so a little limited for me. Maybe I need some homeassistant in my life.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one. Been tossing between the bladeless one and this for sometimes. Now it's time to pull the trigger.

  • +1

Is this fan good value if you're only going to use it indoors?

  • Thanks OP! much apprecaited!

  • Seems expensive. Is it really that good?

I had a Xiaomi portable battery DC fan and that was the best but can't find it being sold anymore.

    Is this similar or better?

    • Kogan sell a DC one like Xiaomi on paper anyways.

    • i bought the philips one at for 119 on Amazon, DC too. No portable battery but is nice, quiet and cool! good value for money.

I recommend the white one which is about 15 cheaper. the app seems like a gimmick.

  • Was already looking for a blender, didn't expect to buy a pricey fan as well.

  • Do I use WELCOME10 to purchase the gc first, then use the code again to purchase the fan?

    • GC is already off

      Buy it for $200

Add fan combo to cart, apply couple WELCOME10 while using the GC for partial payment. You'll have $19.99 to pay via CC/Paypal etc

      • I just tried to use the WELCOME10 code while buying the GC and that brought it down to 180, not sure if that will work again while buying the fan itself, but worth trying, if that works, this brings this bundle to 200!

  • Any idea why title is $269.99 now?

    • Coz that's only applying Welcome10 discount.

    • +1

Unsure as mod edited it. Anyways, rearranged the first paragraph to call out the possible $219.99 net price :)

  • Thanks OP, was considering Vornado 633DC but this one is more versatile.

  • +2

Not me reading title as missing attachment!! 🤦‍♂️and wondering what is the missing part for this to be discounted!

    • Just ordered thanks OP. $200 ecard plus $19.99 on card, totalling to $219.99.

      • How did you get the $250 ecard for $200?

I can only get it to $225 with the WELCOME10 code..

  • Is it suitable for indoor spaces?

Seems like it has a misting attachment that you connect a hose to, which reports it can reduce temperature by 5 degrees. But you'd have to use it outside for this.

So purely for indoor purposes, I wonder how well this actually works, because it's just a fan?

I mean… who is really going to be sitting outside regularly in the hot air with this thing?

So far I've been using the Kogan DC fan for indoor use and I actually find it to be an awesome product. Very, very quiet and lots of speed settings. On setting 1, you can barely even hear that it's on at all.

    • I reckon both are gonna be meh… but free bonus is free bonus, maybe chuck it on gumtree for a few dollars

    • I bought one of these for almost full price and I use the misting attachment for our deck area. I don't regret the purchase but I do wish I bought it during this deal!

For indoor purposes, it's an amazing fan. Very powerful, very quiet, and the battery option comes in handy

  • Thanks OP!! Got the $500 GC and purchased two. Will use blenders as gifts.

  • Great deal - thanks OP. Was just looking at this at TGG Commercial for $243 yesterday.
I opted for the bonus Thirsti bottle instead of the blender but maybe I have regrets. Anyone have views on either of these bonus items?
this comment echoes some of my concerns.
I think I’d use an insulated water specialised for carbonated water more often than a blender where the blades don’t separate from the motor.

  • Thanks OP. I guess I do need a new fan :)

  • Thanks OP! Summer is torture at the moment in WA, hopefully this works out!

  • is it a DC fan?

    • +5

      Marvel

  • Anyone still waiting for the gift card to be emailed?

    • Yep, been an hr for me

      • +1

        check spam

        • Was in my promotions inbox! Thanks heaps

  • +3

    This blender sucks. Just FYI.

    • So its dual function?

      • +1

        That joke blows AND sucks

        • He he need to sharpen my skills

  • Thanks OP, got one!

  • Can buy 2 dc pedestal fans..

    • Do they have misting function?

      Do they have inbuilt battery?

Is it uv and rain resistant for outdoor use?

Can it convert from table top mode to pedestal mode?

Does it have up to 20m range?

      • Each to his own, misting is only possible when used outdoors. There are better/cheaper/more powerful/longer lasting fans than this for outdoor use. but again of course each to his own.

        • There are better/cheaper/more powerful/longer lasting fans than this for outdoor use.

Would love to see the list. I’m sure there’s others here that would benefit from this too.

I do need 2 more fans.

  • Is the misting attachment just a gimmick ?

    • Don’t think so. Sounds like a useful tool to help cool an outdoor space.

    • It's somewhat a gimmick, but I've used it a few times now when I've had friends over and we're hanging out on our deck in 30+ degree heat. It works really well

  • So for the blender you carry the whole thing including the motor with you on the way. Same as the Xiaomi blender. Weird design but tempting.

  • +1

I was able to get some cashback on both transactions via cashrewards so I got back AUD 10.80 on the gift card and AUD 7.85 on the bigger transaction.

I did it the wrong way around because the first transaction gained a larger % back but still happy.

    • Did the cashback track on gift card purchase? Nice. Shopback excludes giftcards from ninja kitchen.

  • +1

I bought this fan + misting attachment a few months ago at almost full price. I don't regret the purchase, its an amazing fan. Indoors it works just as well as a ceiling fan. Super quiet and very strong.

Outdoors we use it on our deck, and sometimes use the misting attachment if its 30+ degrees. It makes the deck fun and bearable to hang out on.

I've also unsheathed the fan from its pedestal and took it down to our backyard to fan us during an impromptu picnic in the yard.

It really is an A-tier fan, I didn't know pedestal fans could be this good. Can't recommend enough, especially with this deal!

  • Got the one with the drink bottle. I don't know why…

  • is this a DC fan?

    • A surprisingly hard question to answer it appears. I'm not an electrician, but it would seem a bit odd and would be needlessly complicated for a fan that runs off battery (at least part time) to not use a DC motor

      • that's logical - i'm pretty clueless when it comes to electricals.

  • Can anybody tell me what kind of battery this thing uses, and what the capacity is?

I am considering if this can be taken overseas on a flight in checkin luggage or carry on (gifting to somebody who is visiting here).

    • +1

https://support.sharkclean.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/… has it as a 36W 4000 mAh lithium ion battery

With box dimensions of 93cm H x 36cm W x 36cm D, weight of 5.7kg, and what I expect to be an AU plug…To be honest I would really question the thought process of wanting to put your mate through the pain of allocating luggage space, and transporting it back to their home country unless they were OK with it beforehand.

      • Amazing thanks! This manual didn't show up on Shark's AU support site. The battery should be well under the 160Wh airline limit then.

Meanwhile, appreciate the concern, it's a valid point! But with over 90kg of luggage allowance, I think 5.7kg shouldn't be a problem. Worst case scenario they just hand it back.

  • any idea when this deal ends?

    • Gift card deal ends 24th. The savings combo deal possibly end of Boxing Day /season.

      • Ended midday. Weird. Save me some money.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

I signed up to buy this morning but didn't complete the purchase.

When I logged in again just before lunch using an email PIN, Shark immediately sent me a 15% off code as a reward for being a longtime user who hadn't made a purchase yet (even though I just signed up this morning).

Altogether, the total came to $205.

    • how did you get to $205 with 15% discount of $299?
      thank you

      • There was a 20% gift card deal that ended midday, so stacking that with 15% off was a big winner.

        • damn, missed the gift card deal, thank you for the info bargain for you

  • The deal is still available. Only the 20% GC deal has expired.

  • Is anyone still waiting for the gift card to come through? Been 6 hours already, nothing in spam

  • Anyone knows if it used proprietary plugs for power outlet? Thinking of getting this hooked to my 12v portable power station via the cigarette plug but the shark branded one cost $40

  • Looks like the combo is no longer available

  • So sad deal finished. How many days did I miss this :(
