Time to move on. They refunded quickly, it was clear there was a chance that it was a pricing error so the risk was there it would get refunded.

Unsubscribe from their newsletters, use burner email address going forward. Your address is on Google maps. This conspiracy theory that the sole purpose of that deal was to harvest customer data is preposterous.

You win some, you lose some. Get the Kmart portable blender, it has a higher wattage and is only $15. Sure not as cool, who cares.

      • Look fair play and good points, But as a few commenters pointed out they knew the mistake after it went OOS they added more to the listing - first round may not of been intentional but the second round was.

      • No, it was not a pricing error. The deal is still up to now.

It might not be the purpose in the first place, but data collection is real to many companies big and small.

I use my email to keep the purchase record. A burner email is not secured.

        • Are you saying the "$30 off no minimum spend" is still up?

data collection is real to many companies big and small.

Is this your first time on the internet?

          • @Ughhh: This deal with 19 negs is still up but the $30 code is down, while the WELCOME10 code is still available if they honor it.

Is this your first time on the internet?

Do you know how to check the profile? 2010 member.

            • @bcYield: Dude, the deal people are throwing a tantrum about was posted by a user titled "2 for $49.99" with the use of a $30 off code, not 2 for $80.

The 2 for $80 deal is still up, with people getting their orders.

You're confused. You don't even know what you're mad about.

Do you know how to check the profile? 2010 member.

Lights on, but nobodys home it seems.

              • @Ughhh: It's the same deal but 2 diff codes which I already mentioned. You're the one confused.

Mad? Yes, you are by saying "Is this your first time on the internet?". So, calm down.

There are more people talking the same here.

                • +2

@bcYield: They're not the same deal, because if it was, then the 2 for $80 post would be removed for being a duplicate.

The code is what made it a deal. Not sure how to make this simpler.

Have a look what sarcasm is.

                  • @Ughhh: 2 for 1 is the original deal on the websit, what I mentioned initially to show that it's not a pricing error, which may cause confusion to you.

They are not a dup deal I know. A code makes it a dearer deal one after another. There's possibly another code coming up making it a diff deal. Who knows? But only the original deal without a code can be used for price matching.

                • @bcYield: It is definitely not the same deal which was unobtainable (self correction here, not pricing error) through the use of code EV-A25X7.

That code was $30 off no min spend. Ninja did not honour deal that was applying against the 2 for $79.99 deal.

It's not a duplicate deal because the $30 off code was deactivated against the current deal that is still up and everyone was refunded who used it. The actual initial deal was the $30 off not the 2 for $79.99 deal with WELCOME10.

                  • -1

@Lucille Bluth: I explain it here. In short, I mean the pricing is not an error, but the code is maybe.

Order #NAU153*** was canceled at your request

Instead, they say you are the one who requests the cancellation. A lie.

                    • @bcYield: Didn't everyone get two emails?

The first explained the mistake enabling the code being used for orders under $250, the second saying we had requested cancellation which was obviously just a generic template when they mass cancelled the orders.

The code was advertised as $30 off $250 so most OzBargainers would have known they were taking a punt, even more so when everyone started putting in orders for free accessories that were under $30.

                      • @MBix: Ok the first email explained it was a technical issue (not a pricing issue obviously).

Then, they threw a generic template email to kill all the orders, saying requested by buyers, which technically was another technical issue?

I'm agreed that the free accessories were the main reason they pulled the switch killing off all orders including those who genuinely bought blenders as gifts for their family and friends, yet counted as abusers now.

                        • @bcYield: I agree it was their (profanity) allowing the coupon to be used, and then their (profanity) with their template reading what it did, but the original coupon email was $30 off $250, so it was always going to be a bit of a wild swing

                          • @MBix: They could have done better to clean their mess than just pulling the switch, since many have wasted lots of time and effort due to the cause.

                        • @bcYield:

switch killing off all orders including those who genuinely bought blenders as gifts for their family and friends, yet counted as abusers now.

Intention doesnt matter. I could say I bought it as gifts for the homeless kids in some 3rd world country. Keep to the facts- the fact is the code was not used as intended by the retailer.

since many have wasted lots of time and effort due to the cause.

That is the risk you take, when the deal is in or close to the too good to be true rank.

                          • @Ughhh: In the case that intention and risk don't matter, just avoid them. There are people/companies that do care.

So, now you blame people for making the orders? Or blame a shopping tool that applies the code for them?

$25/blender is 69% off. Is it considered a decent deal or a too good/fake deal? Mr. Judge.

                            • @bcYield: .. Not sure if youre trolling or for real.

The code wasn't applied (automatically) for users.

                              Rest is gibberish.

                              • @Ughhh: No one would have bought/wasted time/effort, if it wasn't at the price + Ninja made orders through.

It doesn't matter if code or not and how people use it.

                                • @bcYield:

Do you not see that people have placed orders at 2 for $80? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/901842

                                  Ninja made orders through.

They didn't. You made an offer, with an invalid code. Technical errors can happen.

It doesn't matter if code or not and how people use it.

I'm not even sure if you know what you're talking about. Makes no sense.

                                  • @Ughhh: People wasted time/effort because of your technical issue.

Ninja already apologized. Not sure what is your point to keep up this far?

                                    • @bcYield:

                                      My technical issue?
That's the risk you take on life when you're an adult.

I was going to say the same. Will the whingers keep whinging on every single Ninja post?

                      • @MBix: If you had opted out of marketing emails, you only received the cancellation email that was "at your request".

      • Time to move on, get a grip. Been (profanity) over by them 5 times last year

    • +1

They never advertised as $30 off with no minimum spend, so not bait and switch.

    • I feel your frustration. I don't like it either. It is what it is.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Price in title needs to be $144 though, not the post-CR price.

Waiting for all the salty people who abused a discount code to come in here and neg me (or this deal lol)

      updated :) Thanks !

Also cashrewards website isn't a coupon code. There is already a cash back button under the site link which should be for tgg

  • +3

Cash rewards won't count as per terms of the price beat being excluded.

One thing to note with this model is some of the more recent reviews stating that spare parts are hard to come by presumably as it’s an older model.

This newer model is available at TGG for $142 (with Price Beat button) but looks to only include one cup instead of three. Also has a slightly smaller footprint and fares vaguely better with butters and blending fibrous substances according to RTINGS.

    • +5

Just had a look at the YouTube video the old model in this listing is about 10 years old.

    • Cheers, got this instead

  • New to the blender game, how is this compared to other equivalent models from other brands? Looking to use it for smoothies and slushies

    • Check out RTINGS.com

    • Works perfectly well for smoothies and slushies. It's strong enough to make peanut butter with it, so anything softer will be no problem.

    • Any comparison I've ever seen to Vitamix or Blendtec has the Ninja/Nutribullets as very different classes of machines. Wide crushing blades vs thin and sharp cutting blades mean that the Ninja blends have lots of chopped up suspended bits in them.

  • Bought and Cashreward tracked just fine. Thanks OP

    • +1

It can track but whether it actually gets approved is the question.

  • Is it the product since 2015? Any upgrade to this model if so?

    Edit: Answer above

  • Any good portable blender out there gang?

    • This deal is maybe for you but read through the comment sections first.

  • I bought it and got delivery within 50 mins. Thanks Op. uber option is way better with no charge.

I would be still waiting in queue at check out by time it got order processed, job created, driver assigned and delivered.
