Is this the same ninja brand with dodgy marketing strategies?

    • Genuinely curious what their dodgy marketing strategies are? I know they are pushed hard via TikTok cos I went from hearing nothing about this product to every friend on TikTok buying one for Christmas.

They're dodgy because they don't bend over to children throwing tantrums over a code that was never advertised as $30 off no minimum spend.

It’s the same Ninja who rightfully cancelled orders after a discount code was incorrectly used and abused on this site, yes.

Basically a cheap drill press. If you have a blender with balls you could freeze a couple ice cube trays of your mix and get the same result.

    • If I had a blender with balls I don't think i'd trust the ice cream…

The difference between a cutting blade (blender) and a shaving blade (Ninja) does lead to a difference in the end result. Whether you care, you won’t know until you try.

    • The reason we've decided to get a Creami is because it apparently uses the technology of the Pacojet at a consumer level.

We had a foodie friend who forked out for a used Pacojet ($10k+ RRP) to make ice cream, which is an professional industrial-level kitchen appliance. Apparently once the patent ran out, Ninja has developed this as a cheaper consumer alternative.

For reference, my wife has made ice cream with various other appliances, but has been bugging me for a Creami in particular. The real advantage of this system for us is that you can premix the ingredients, keep it in the freezer and then bring it out when you have guests over, or it's a hot day and the kids want a frozen treat.

I haven't used it yet since I just bought it with this deal… but I suspect it would produce very different results than just a blender.

  • Would a Thermomix be as good?

    • Ive made sorbets with both a Thermomix and a ninja creami. Both delicious. Similar texture. Plenty of ice cream recipes for both online.
      Can't go wrong with either.

  • Cash rewards is only showing 4.2% for new customers.. where did you get the 16% from?

    • Also usually you cant use discount codes with cashback sites as per the standard terms. Happy to be corrected.

      • Topcashback currently has 18%.
