TLDR: the performance of the IKEA air purifiers is excellent.
If you want the additional carbon filter you can get that too. However I have measured PM 2.5 (the reason I got them) and it works fine on just the standard filter
It depends what specifically you want it for and whether the filter has to remove everything on one pass, but, for a room application where you just want particulate stuff gone out of the same air over time, CADR is generally preferable to the filtration effectiveness specifically. Something MERV13 that removes 70% of the undesired particulates but at proportionately much higher flow and cycle rate through the filter, can deliver more clean air over time than a 99.9% effective HEPA filter that needs to work with more power and lower overall throughput at the same noise level.

Why is it 20 micron?
That’s what I’m wondering, claims it’s HEPA13 but only filters 20 micron particles and not 0.1 micron?!
CADR on max isn’t great, you’d only want to use this in a small room.
Is that an error on the Amazon listing? Elsewhere it says "³) Based on industry standards for removing 99.97% of ultrafine particles (0.3 microns) from the air in a room 5x per hour."
